Originally, I thought FOX should rig the voting so that the Thompson sisters would NOT make it into the group, and then FOX could give them their own contract as a sister duo. I think they would sell.

But now that the older one has made it into the group, I've been trying to figure out the rest. So here's my final group:

Taylor Thompson (already in)
Tori Thompson
AJ Melendez
Danielle White
Lucy Hale

Im sorry but this show is insane. The origianal was bad enough, but there fucking kids! why should they be forced to conform to get jokes at that fuck age! its nuts, it just gets worse every year, like baby gap, 'make sure you slap that gap shirt on your baby the min. it gets out the the womb!" this a horrible horrible show.

I watched the first half of the season premiere and turned it off. I enjoyed the original American Idol, but I have no desire whatsoever to see a bunch of brats singing with their high pitched voice and their annoying ass parents.

I catch the end of the show now waiting for whats on after it to come on, and its just as annoying to see the little buggers all start bawling because they aren't selected.

I taught elementary music for 12 years, and these kids have wonderful voices. They do not have annoying high-pitched voices, and many pop stars today should kill to have the kind of voice control that a lot of these kids have on this show.

I haven't seen any kids bawling yet at the end of the selection shows, and there's only been one selection show so far anyway.

There appears to be some concern about forcing kids to conform?? Are you shitting me?? Please walk by your nearest elementary or middle school soon. You couldn't get a kid to STOP conforming even by threatening their lives. It is a very real and very necessary behavior for them to get through. I don't know of a single culture on the earth that doesn't emphasize conformity for young adults as a necessary component of societal survival.

But I guess it's en vogue these days to criticize shows like this. (speaking of conformity)
