TMNT. If you missed an episode, you'll be worried about the day's playground experience.

TRIPODS !! awesome series :) |
man i must've missed the 80s even though i was born in 1983 bcos i totally don't even remember mr. t and probably missed out on a lot of the pop culture cos i'm that clueless :P
but i loved the care bears, my little ponies, ghost busters, teenage mutant ninja turtles, gummi bears, fraggle rock, duck tales, chip n' dales.. etc etc. i dont know if anyone knows of this show.. but it had little puppets. it was called under the umbrella tree?? oo i also liked the heathcliff cartoon. and david the gnome. *shrug* i was a priviliged cable kid :P i was also obsessed with full house. and enjoyed saved by the bell as well |
Was no one out there into the Smurfs? Loved that cartoon. Other 80' fav's- Family Ties, The Facts of Life, and of course, The Cosby Show.
|
Transformers
Thundercats Visionaries He-Man Ghostbusters Hulk Hogan's Rockin' Wrestling (I think that's what it was called) Gummi Bears Rescue Rangers Care Bears Teddy Ruxpin Garfield & Friends Tiny Toon Adventures So many more, I just can't remember |
Primetime:
A-Team Dukes of Hazzard Knight Rider Cosby Show Simpsons Cartoons: Smurfs Transformers GI Joe M.A.S.K. Pee Wee's Playhouse Muppet Babies Voltron |
0) Dukes of Hazzard
1) Knight Rider 2) A-Team 3) Black Adder 4) Doctor Who 5) Are you Being Served? many of the others already listed and my favourite by far 6) Benny Hill (when my kindergarten teacher asked what my favourite show was, I told her it was "Benny Hills" - probably not a common thing to hear a 6 year old say for that question) |
EASILY the Transformers. GI Joe was OK but kinda wussy, no one ever died or even got shot.
|
1981-1991
Anime: Spacekeeters (Starzinger http://us.imdb.com/Title?0185655) Sandy Bell (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0294099) Candy, Candy (http://www.imdb.com/Title?0362493) Silver Fang (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0362344) Other childrens stuff: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (had a crush on Shredder) Ghostbusters (had a crush on Peter) Fraggle Rock (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0085017) Duck Tales Dangermouse Gummi Bears Bamse (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0235912) Pippi Longstockings (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0062598) SuperTed (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0085096) Other stuff I watched: MacGyver Parker Lewis Can't Lose Clarissa Explains It All V The greatest movie ever: Gnomes (http://www.imdb.com/Title?0343727) a lot more, but a lot of it is Swedish :) |
Thundercats, TRansformers, M.A.S.K., Parker Lewis Can't Lose, Silverhawks, The A-Team, Knight Rider, Animaniacs, Dungeons & Dragons, Superfriends, Airwolf.
Then a couple of shows that I remember liking a lot when I was little, but can't really remember too much about were Manimal and Spectre-Man (SP?). |
The Real Ghostbusters had my vote. That, and Sledge Hammer.
"Don't thank God, ma'am, thank gun". Over the top violence in an over the top series was my bag. There was also Max Headroom, but I was young enough that it made no sense, but then again I don't think it made sense to most people back then. I watch it now and can appreciate it, though. |
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Inspector Gadget Double Dare GI Joe |
saved by the bell
family matters full house small world power rangers |
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (splinter was the shit)
Duck Tales Gummi Bears GI Joe Muppet Babies ahhh those were the days |
Well... they seems to have all been mentioned before but here is my list..
Duck Tales Knight Rider TMNT A-Team oh and Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers |
square one, with mathnet...newton's apple, and pretty much anything on PBS. Yeah, i'm nerd.
then again, i also had a soft spot for Double Dare on Nick. |
Ok, so this is a little past the years mentioned BUT HOW COOL WAS ROCKO'S MODERN LIFE???
And The Popples. Cool show. |
Centurions
Ahh!! Real monsters Clarissa Explains it all Boy meets World Ducktales(along with darkwing duck, chip and dale, tailspin, and whatever else) Saved by the bell Hey Dude Heathcliff and Garfield Smurfs(my grandma used to call me smurf.. I don't know why.. As a matter of fact, she STILL calls me smurf..) Tom and Jerry Alvin and the Chipmunks The Jetsons Reading Rainbow Kaptain Kangaroo Beetlejuice(the cartoon series) Captain Planet I know some of these weren't really new episodes when I watched them but I watched the jetsons, flintstones, and other shows daily. I never knew so many stars had roles in captain planet.... |
TMNT!! Voltron! Robotech Transformers, Heman! =D
|
One of my favorite shows of the 80's was
"Tales of the Gold Monkey" with the one-eyed, eyepatch-wearing dog named Jack. http://a1259.g.akamai.net/f/1259/558...0/10102281.jpg I had a crush on the lead actress on there. Her name is Caitlin O'Heaney and she played Sarah Stickney White. (woman on the left) Still a great show. |
canīt believe iīm the only one with this one.
ASTRO BOY |
Silver Spoons..
Who didn't want to be that kid!!! |
TGIF! man those were the days ... and all the nick and "snick" shows like doug and ren and stimpy and are you afraid of the dark. salute your shorts was so stupid with that redheaded mullet guy. double dare and wild and crazy kids! G.I. joe rocked and so did transformers. tmnt was my life as a kid. the nintendo tmnt games blew my mind too :P.
|
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Rescue Rangers, David the Gnome, Salute Your Shorts and Roundhouse on Nick, and the Ghostbusters just to name a few. The list goes on.
|
Transformers, TMNT, X-men, Exo-Squad
i love taking walks down memory cartoon lane |
I went from Ninja Turtles, to Ghostbusters, to Power Rangers (the first season, not all this hyper time uber ninja's from jupiter crap) and then settled on x-men. I downloaded most of the x-men episodes recently just to relive old times.
|
Nick used to have such great shows. It's a shame it went down the crapper so much, with it's best thing being Spongebod Squarepants (which I think really sucks and is really stupid).
|
I just sort of skimmed through this thread, and it seems like just about every show I could possibly think of has been mentioned except for one.
C.O.P.S. Did no one else watch this show? It was awesome. I had all of the toys and everything. I'd say it was my favorite next to the Ninja Turtles. |
Monkey is the best. I also went through He-man and teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles phases. I had totally forgotten cities of gold until I read this post. That was awsome. I wonder why they never show it anymore.?
|
Definitely TMNT.
COPS toys were very cool, but my mom wouldn't let me have most of them because they had caps and she thought I'd hurt myself. Sucks to that. |
I see some people have mentioned Knight Rider. I have to confess I liked that when I was younger, but last week I saw it again and it is so awful. Some things should just be remembered and not watched again.
|
Oh yeah... the caps. I could never get them to work. I always ended up hitting mine with a hammer.
|
she's a... SMALL WONDER!!!!
Vickie is soooo kinky. Open my instrument panel, master! |
BraveStar. BUCKY O' HARE!!!
He Man. THUNDER-THUNDER-THUNDER-THUNDER CATSSSSSS!!! Man, we of the 80s had too much quality viewing to choose a favourite, only FAVOURITES! |
Count Duckula, the Bluffers (kinda new, but still...early 90s), THE A TEAM! THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. (Kick ass dude!).
So many to list, so little time to list them in...so I'll refrain from spamming. |
TNMT, Care Bears, Duck Tales, Astro Boy, Snorks, Inspector Gadget, Muppet Babies, Full Houses, and Gummi Bears are the first that come to mind. Ahhh this thread bring back so many memories :)
|
Oh this is easy , growing up in the south the obvious winner in best show is 'The Dukes of Hazzard'
I also like the A-Team, big Murdock fan, BIG Murdock fan - well maybe not that big. |
