Sneak Peak of Dr. Octopus (Spiderman 2)
 

Hey guys. I was recently at the comic con and took a picture of the debute of Dr. Octopus from Spiderman 2. I posted it in a different topic but thought for those of you that might not have seen it, I would post this so you can check it out. He looks so bad-ass in the movie. His tentacles are very much like the tenticles of the sentinels from The Matrix. However, in the movie, they will be actual robotic tenticles with very little cgi and each tenticle will display its own personality. Looks fly. Enjoy!

Come now, there are no fat people in comic books. Even the Kingpen, and if any character was a candidate for the fat farm, was described as "pure muscle".

Doc Ock actually looked about like that. Bowl haricut, funky square glasses (which are in vogue today anyway. Doc Ock - Trendsettah!). He did have a paunch on him (no John though, just Paunch) in the comic books.

But with all the liberties they've been taking in the "Ultimate" series at Marvel, I'm surprised Doc Ock is still a man!

Hey now...I hope you're not knocking the Ultimate Marvel line!

As for the look of Doc Ock, I think Molina fits the bill perfectly, and that poster is awesome! I can't wait until May!

X-men 3: OMEGA RED *drools at the mere thought alone*

Here's another movie I am looking forward to. I still maintain they did a spledid job on the first Spiderman movie despite some iffy effects and the too-stiff appearance of the Green Goblin. For the most part, the first movie was extremely entertaining and quite satisfying after years and years of being a Spiderman fan but being disappointed by the lame attempts at making a live-action version (anyone remember the Spiderman TV series or made-for-tv movie in the 70s?).

I don't know that I'd call him fat. He definitely wasn't bald though. He had this shaggy mop-top.

Each tentcle only had two "fingers" in the comics though, and they were much smaller.

Actually, Doc had a white lab coat and big goofy looking glasses. Sam Raimi is trying to keep as close to the comic books as he can so he says. Although, he does have to keep some sorta of cool fashion sense so he switched the color of the trench coat and is giving Doc Oc some cooler shades.

Alfred Molina is a great bit actor, he's been in a ton of movies it seems. I think he'll make an awesome doc oc.

I'm still pretty undecided on it. I like the Ultimate Spider-Man book. But it seems like they are really taking liberties with the Marvel Universe that I know and love.

I hope that Spider Man 2 is better than the first one. I could not understand why most everyone went crazy over it. It wasn't that good (except for Kirsten Dunst, that is)

The only good thing about Kirsten was her nipple shot. She was average. Shes an average actress but shes got a nice rack.

I thought Spiderman was a very good film. It was very entertaining.

Doc looks bad-ass. Look forward to seeing the 2nd movie even more now.

look at the pics of Alfred Molina on IMDB, he's not exactly skinny. A lot more like the comics than the picture in this thread lets on.

On the cast list is Dr. Curt Connor. Isn't he the Lizard? Didn't he also help Spiderman out when he turned all spidery? If so, we know what Spiderman 3 is about.

BTW if it wasn't terribly obvious in the ending of X2, X3 will be about Phoenix.

Curt Connors is actually in SP2, but he doesn't turn into the Lizard, and that doesn't mean that's what SP3 will be about, it just opens the opportunity.

And there may not even be an X3.

I am SO looking forward to this, I can hardly stand it!

BUT, I did think the Green Goblin was pretty good too.

I'm betting that if Kurt Conners is in SP2 that he loses his arm in a fight with Dr Ock, therefore leading him into his experientation with lizard DNA, ergo he becomes the Lizard. But that's just my guess, place your bets accordingly.

As for X3, well since X2 made $211 million and it was widely publicized when X1 came out that all the principle cast had signed 3 picture deals, I'd say that one's a lock.
