I haven't read it, why don't you tell me/us what its about and some of what you found interesting. Perhaps Ill go get a copy.

heyy424 08-15-2003 09:13 PM

basically, it's a treasure hunt. some very popular guy that was part of a secret society was murdered in a french museum. he left a messege on the floor in code, a hired symbologist was there to try and crack the code. that code lead to another code, they found secret messeges on da vinci paints its very interesting

1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21,

1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, Fibonacci numbers , From the moment I started reading this I was hooked.... I read it a few months ago and I must say.... this is the best book I have read in 5-6 years ....

From around page 10 till the end its just mindblowing....

If you enjoyed Da Vinci Code, you should read the one that came before it, Angels and Demons. Both books are quite clever with their puzzles, but I found that the journey was a lot more rewarding than the final payoff.

heyy424 08-16-2003 05:40 PM

yeah, i'm reading angels and demons at the moment. i wonder what the puzzles will be.. and i also agree that the journey was way better than the payoff. but, it was still a great book. pick up a copy.

It's a big chase... which isn't a bad thing, because it is so creative, new, and interesting, until the last 15% or so. It gets formulaic. My wife read it on a cross country airplane trip and I read it on the return... easy quick read and a lot of fun.

heyy424 08-16-2003 08:09 PM

yup, it was hard for me to pronounce the french words, very frustrating.

bundy 08-18-2003 05:19 AM

wow.
ok, now i´m so curious about this book, i´m going to try it.
thanks

Maveric 08-18-2003 05:34 AM

stephen king said it was crap, so i never bothered... but you got me curious now.

JohnnyRock 08-18-2003 05:52 AM

Haven't read it yet. Met a girl on a flight from Denver to Boston that was raving about it...she was smart and attractive...I'll have to read it now.

heyy424 08-18-2003 03:37 PM

yeah i honestly think you should read it. up to you.

diergray 08-18-2003 05:13 PM

I found both of the authors books to be enjoyable. They are kind of adventurous in a Indiana Jones sort of way.

mrquackers 08-18-2003 05:16 PM

I've got a copy. Just finishing up the Jonathan Kelleman I checked out from the library and then I can finally get to it! I can't wait!

heyy424 08-18-2003 08:53 PM

heyy424 08-21-2003 06:27 PM

DHS 08-22-2003 06:37 AM

I agree.... I read DaVinci Code and am currently reading Angels and Demons. Both are very interesting and the journey through the book is gripping... you can't wait to see what the true answers are as compared to what you may think....

dun_ask 08-27-2003 05:52 PM

already..

Plan9Senior 08-27-2003 07:12 PM

Got me interested, I will have to pick this one up.

dun_ask 08-28-2003 07:45 PM

what did you guys think of the book for people who read it? and what did you think about angels and demons? was it good?

dun_ask 08-28-2003 07:45 PM

oh and what were the differences between the two?

mystmarimatt 09-09-2003 11:28 AM

really good book, up until the end, very informative, intelligent, but the thing with who sophie is is just stupid. a really useless gimmick. argh.
