I've read a few books by authors who are supposed to represen a genre of music, like jazz, or rock and roll
And I wanted to find a good book inspired by punk.

"Our Band Could Be Your Life" Michael Azerrad
"Dance of Days: Two Decades of Punk in the Nation's Capital" by Mark Andersen and Mark Jenkins.

it's about the skinhead culture in chicago in the late '80's. multiculti skins fighting against the nazi punks. pretty entertaining read........
