Your own idea for a movie?
I know we've all had em whether stupid or not so what are some a yours? I thought 2 were okay like for one you take one prideful individual who is unable to admit any of his fears (and constantly tease certain individuals because of theirs) even though we all have them so he has a gypsy curse, bad dream, bad hallusinagen(sp?), etc. whatever you want That forces him to undergo an entire day where all of his and everyone elses fears are realized in his world....Pull back the shower curtain "just in case" someone could be hiding in there YES THERE IS SOMEONE IN THERE! Monster under the bed? Might be cool dunno if it would be a horror or a comedy or whatever. Might be cool idea for a movie only problem is it would be terribly predictable but the way to avoid that is to play on the other peoples fears he makes fun of which persons fear will he have to undergo next? Prolly won't know until it's about to happen but the one unpredictable moment would be when "his" ultimate fear is realized....which he never reveals. So thats the stupid one
The other one I have is on some paranormal shit. Ya know we've all seen shadows out the corner of our eye that look like something or someone and as soon as we turn and look to see they dissappear. One a my teachers told me a myth, old wifes tale, fable, story whatever you wanna call it where a guy saw one but didn't turn and look at it....he just followed it and it led him to some kind of hidden treasure or some shit. So my idea is to base an entire movie about these sort of occurances where we see things or perhaps just shadows in general that are revealing things to people they wanna know and don't wanna know, attacking them, leading them to danger, etc. I don't know exactly what I would have the shadows do I guess whatever would make the best movie. That one may not be great but I don't think it's really stupid I wouldn't doubt if someone already made a movie about these that I never heard of. People are makin movies about damn near everything these days. So what are yours? Hope this wasn't another post I posted in the wrong forum or wasn't supposed to make again...Too many rules mayn! Asta!!

My best friend and I started writing a screenplay for a movie a few years back but never finished it. It was based on our sophomore year of college, which was crazy for many reasons:
- My best friend broke up with his longtime girlfriend over a girl in college, but it was cut short when the new girls' mom killed herself. - I was in love with a girl whose boyfriend was a drug dealing woman abuser. - We watched a bright, cleancut friend sink to the lowest of lows after heavy drug use. - My friend's roommate fell for a girl, pushed it too far, and then "disappeared" for about a week. Many other things as well. There wouldn't be a plot per se, just a year in the life of a group of college sophomores, many of whom experience some hardcore "real life" for the first time. We even had a title for it: "Fools Will Try". It's from a song by Ralph Covert of the same name, the chorus of which says "And don't let them drag you down/though fools will try, be cool and strong/Be true to the truth you found/though fools will try, to bring you down." Maybe we'll finish it someday.

What we need is an epic sci-fi movie - the Star Wars of the 21st century, to get people daydreaming again. Episodes 1 and 2 didn't do it for me. They had the flashy high-budget hollywood effects, but lacked spirit.
You know, the typical story - hero is just an average joe, but fate has other ideas and he/she is whisked away to save the galaxy from a mysterious evil. It sounds pretty simplistic and overdone, but there is great potential here. People like this kind of movies when they are done well and have spirit. When theater-goers actually cheer for the hero and boo at the villain, you know you've got their attention. I'm actually writing a pretty neat (IMHO ) sci-fi plot inspired by a dream or two I had recently... I'll post the first chapter as soon as I am done with it. I think it would make a pretty awesome movie. The basic plot: secret military project gets out of control and escapes the lab. In shock, the subject can't remember its name or past, but over time gets these memories back, as well as some pretty fantastic skills. The people running the project chase this subject across many planets, leaving destruction in their path. Friendships and alliances are found in unexpected places, but treachery may lie behind every corner. Eventually the whole thing comes down on the heads of the leading nasties. Think Star Wars meets The Matrix. I'm having alot of fun with this!

I would like to see a cop drama or a law dram where the main character is dressed and made up like a clown (face paint and all). The thing is that no body ever acknowledges that something is amiss. They all just act normal but he is a clown. I think that would be soooo funny. Especially if your stoned.

My idea for a movie is where someone posts his idea for a movie on a board asking for an idea for a movie. Someone takes his idea, runs with it, and gets funding and makes a super megahit film. He never gives any credit to where he got the idea and runs off with his millions. The person who originally posted the idea then hunts down and kills the filmmaker.

It also stars Adam Sandler, Julie Brown (the redhead), Victoria Jackson, and has an uncredited cameo by Robin Williams. It is so funny it hurts, but no one has seen it.

I think a good idea for a film would be........
*thinks* You've got this guy walking down a street. The camera would be focused on his face, the camera moving back as he's moving foward. His eyes would be focused 15 degrees to the right of the lense. For the four minutes, he'd just be walking in line with the camera, focused on something to his right. No soundtrack during this scence, though. No noise except his breathing. At the one minute mark, his nostril flares. During this first scene, the man does blink, of course. The camera is focused on the area from his mid-chest to one and a half inches above his head. After the two minute mark, a loud scream is heard. The mans face, which was emotionless, becomes inhumanly twisted. He starts to fall backwards, falls for 30 degrees without the camera following him, but then the camera catches up. But from there.... I get writer's block. Pretty shitty opening scene, eh?

Attention getter? Not at all. Damn. I've been designing that movie for months. I can never get past that one part. Or maybe it's just you...

You could have him walk face-first right into the camera, and with a big "clang!" fall on his ass from the impact. This was particularly well executed in Spaceballs.. a very classy scene

i think there's huge potential for someone to do a caddyshack-style treatment of the bar/restaurant industry. working for 15 years as a bartender, i have met every variety of poet, freak, artist, jock, yuppie, etc, etc, etc - and they're all interacting while they're drunk. comedy, drama - it's all there.
