Has anyone seen this yet? I know this got mixed review, but you can never listen to the critics anyway.
Not to spoil it, but it's hillarious. Mike Meyers was funny as hell. I'm guessing that he ad libbed a lot. A lot of the one liners are more adult oriented, and pass right over the kids, and some you have to think about before you get them. If you read the book as a kid, you'll like the movie, but I went there expecting to laugh, and sure enough I did. |

I don't think reviews were mixed for this movie. I think they were pretty resoundingly bad with a small number of good thrown in. As it happens, I enjoy listening to what critics say about movies, so I don't really plan to see this movie. Maybe I will if my friends decide they want to see it when it hits the dollar theater.

Friends of mine said there was lots of funny parts, and a lot of adult oriented humor that would fly over any young kids' head.
I had heard the reviews were mostly bad for this film. Either way, I think this is one of those movies that I can wait for DVD to rent. |

This is definatly a movie I'm going to have to see with my mom. She is a Seuss freak!! When we went to Universal a few years ago she had to ride the Cat and the Hat ride 6 times. I think it just brings back all the fun memories of reading books to my brother and I when we were little.
As for the movie.. The previews don't look so hot. I have a feeling, once I see the movie I'll agree with all the critics that said the movie wasn't "Seussie enough". |

It was filmed 6 miles from me... yay, I'm special
On that note, all I've read were horrible horrible reviews.

I've read a lot of horrible reviews, so it's not gonna be a movie a I pay for to see.

I take zero stock in reviews. However, this is one I definitely have no interest in seeing. Mike Meyers is wearing thin for me, and I'm really nervous about him tearing apart a childhood memory.
