Comic Books

Anyone read these funny books anymore? I still enjoy reading Wolverine and am now reading the 1602 limited series from Marvel comics. Also, if you guys would like to check out some horror type stuff come over to www.nightmare-factory.com/nf They have a message board over there that's pretty cool. You can talk with the Something Wicked creator Jerry Beck. It's pretty cool.

I'm really enjoying 1602.

As well I like Supreme Power and Marvel's Ultimate line. Mostly I just wait for the TPB's to come out though.

I was surprised to find out the secret weapon was Thor. Looking forward to the last two issues to find out how Gaiman wraps things up.

Forgot to mention that I've been reading Wolverine: The End limited series. It's pretty good so far. I'd recommend waiting on the TPB though because it isn't outstanding.

I guess I'll be suckered into buying Origin 2 when it hits the shelves.

alot of marvel speak in here, and trust me I'm a marvel zombie. i'm really getting into the exiles. But I'd really have to recommend batman-hush(608-619). jim lee's art with a story that envolves almost every major villian. I heard the hype and checked it out. I've always prefered marvel over DC but i got into this story line.

and the wolverine origin story was interesting, but i'm not sure it was what I wanted.

I've seen some of the art for the Hush storyline and heard good things about it. I'll have to get it in TPB when it comes out.

Exiles is wonderful. I was more suprised in 1602 to see that Cap is from the future.

I tend to follow writers over titles or artist (with the exception of Alex Ross). People like Mark Waid, Kurt Busiek, Christopher Priest, Peter David, Garth Ennis, Warren Ellis, Alan Moore, Brian Michael Bendis, Mark Millar, J. Michael Strazynski.

Another marvel guy here. Are those Batman issues the "No Man's Land" story? If so, that story kicked so much ass! I footed the bill for all the TPB. Great read.

Ultimate X-Men and Ultimate Spider-Man are easily my favorite comic books ever. The drawing style and adaptation of the originial story line are freakin awesome.

I read mostly Alan Moore comics like V for Vendetta and the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, or Neil Gaiman's excellent Sandman series.

Do you mean Warren Ellis or Garth Ennis? I've never heard of Warren Ennis.

I am starting to lean back to marvel also. The ultimate line is good and the remake of squadron supreme could rank up there with the watchmen if strazinsksy(?) can hold it together.
