Help me out here. This has been bugging me for literally 10+ years. When I was young (read: really young, in the 80s) I saw a movie that made me have nightmares for days after. It wasn't a horror flick or anything. But the problem is, I can't find the movie. I don't know the title, or who was in it, but I have some really good plot events and stuff. Here we are:

Plot: A woman is kidnapped by two thugs. The movie revolves around her survival and eventual escape from the kidnappers.

They kidnap her and take her to a snowy forest. It's during the winter and very cold. They pitch a tent and stay there for some reason. One of the thugs is an artist, and shows the kidnapped woman some of his work. He draws a horse with a naked woman riding it (not fucking it you sick fucks. Just riding it.). The kidnapped woman almost has sympathy for the kidnapper because he is so talented but resorts to crime.

The two thugs are middle aged, and poor.

The woman tries to escape the next day and the kidnappers shoot her and she has to drag herself through the snow to safety. The song "You Can't Always Get What You Want" by The Rolling Stones is playing, just the first choir part in the beginning of the song. A close up of her face as she pulls herself through the snow. Very powerful scene!

She gets to safety somehow and at the end of the movie she is shown running a treadmill and getting buff incase someone tries that shit again. She has a crossbow, loaded and ready by her side.

The lady looked like Linda Hamilton. Hell, it may have been her.

If you may think you might have a small idea of what this movie may be PLEASE give it a shot! I can't find it and it's driving me insane. Thanks

That's probably it. I can see confusing a young Linda Hamilton for Tracy Pollan.

I thought this sounded familiar from your description. After reading the details on imdb, I'm sure I remember seeing that way back when.

I watch alot if tv and I saw that movie on there with in the past year or two. It was good.
