older cartoon, cant remember the name...

i cant for the life of me recall the name of a perticular old cartoon... maybe someone here can help. by old, i mean it was on the air around 10-15 years ago. i cant for the life of me remember its name, and ive been looking around for a while this evening with no luck.

the basic premise involved good guys and bad guys, fighting over something or other, and all the people/vehicles travelled around on zip lines... basically they all ran around, suspended from strings on some sort of pulley (for vehicles) or hook for just the individual characters.

i used to have a couple of these toys as a kid where youd get the action figure, along with a about 5 feet of neon orange or green string (depending on if it was a good guy or a bad guy) with a plastic hook on one end and a round clasp thingy on the other... so you could string it from a table leg to a chair, or somesuch similar thing and have the action figure slide down it.

yeah... its all pretty retarded, but its been bugging me. anyone else able to shed some light on what this cartoon was called?

It sounds like a late 80's cartoon, but I can't figure it out with that info. Sorry.

Sounds like what I think was called Rescue Heroes.

no... not rescue heroes, that's way too recent. read the damn post. 10-15 years ago.

i remember this cartoon too, but the name eludes me. i had this nifty yellow plane-looking thingie that did the zipline thingie too... cool toy, as long as you had two solid surfaces to link up to within two feet of eachother.

i'll keep an eye on this thread, as now i'm curious too.

edit: googling around the web, i'm pretty sure they were called "sky commanders," but i'm having a hard time finding any real info on them. google isn't turning much up.

edit2: found them. shitty site, but it has images: http://www.virtualtoychest.com/skyco...ommanders.html

Wow, I've never even heard of that show. "Jackal Raider vehicle with General Plague action figure" -- man, producers were so lazy back in the 80s. But the toys seem fun to play with.

Holy Shit, I used to play with those toys! I remember playing with those all the time. Toys were so much cooler back then. Ninja turtles, M.A.S.K., and G.I. Joe were all great. Nostalgia, here I come.

Hahaha, damn I remember that show too. Actually I don't remember the show at all but I do remember some of those toys, especially the Jackal Raider, talk about hours of fun with those things. Ahh...good times.

Wow, that was some fast fact finding, eh?

If you interested, sometimes you can catch old episodes of the series on Cartoon Network.
