I found this on a wrestling forum. I wish I knew who to give credit to for it, but I had a good laugh.
http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-...79/wweback.jpg The WWF and the World Wildlife Foundation should have had a match to see who could keep the name, I'd love to see Stone Cold give a panda the stunner. |
lol too cool!!!

Okay, lets see if the images load. If not, goto http://www.canadianbacon.org/~oww/news/superplex.html to see them. ;)

Anyone see the guy that wrestled Matt hardy on Saturday night? I thought that was an excelent match and the guy (I didn't catch his name) has some very nice moves and one cool, although missed shooting star press..
|
Heya cybermike,
I think the guy you saw was Paul London. I did some research on the guy, and his Shooting Star is his finisher. So, if he did hit it, he would have beat V1 Hardy. Recently, he has been pretty active in the Ring of Honor federation. So I think he was just a one time deal with WWE, as a scouting manuver, to see if they want to hire him now, or keep him in mind for the future. |
Spleen, let me tell ya something brother,
Justin Hawk ..... Bradshaw. That was his name. Pretty anti-climactic huh. He has also been on CNN for his investing credentials, and featured in Better Homes and Gardens for his lawn. 2 Cool points to anyone who remembers T.L. Hopper and what his gimmick was. May have to get a little nasty to figure this one out. Until next time, Viva La Resistance (they destroyed Hurricane and Slaughter tonight). |
The chick Gail Kim was in WCW for a few months, she managed a couple tagteams in a cheerleader outfit and carried a trampoline everywhere she went. I shit you not. If it wasn't her, it looked a lot like her. Miss Kimona I think is what they called her.
|
Kind of weird to see Kane without his mask. I thought it was the Undertaker pretending to be Kane.
http://raw.wwe.com/results/062303/images/splash.jpg |
Why the hell did they think he was so ugly? He's got black paint smeared all over his face. He does look a bit like the undertaker :) I was kind of surprised he was wearing a wig.. I guess the wierd head shaving was to add to the shock value :)
BTW, wasn't Kane The fake Deisel? When Nash and hall left they used fakes, I believe he took nash's place.. Am I wrong? Spleen, your correct, Paul london was his name. I hope he gets signed with WWE because it put on a really good match. He could really breath some life back into the cruiserwieght matches. Edit for the last time. I can't believe they let goldberg beat Bernie mac.. I hate how WWE does this to mid card wrestlers. Even though I don't even like rodney mac. |
The hell kind of a last name is Bradshaw? Sheesh... its not like they could have made up a GOOD name. :D
I know who TL Hopper was when he appeared in the WWF. I'm not going to say, but I will say this... If he was in your home with the same gimmick, you'd see a lot of his crack. Kane WAS the fake diesel. And a pretty bad look-a-like if I do say so myself. Too FAT. ===== Spleens RAW report (as opposed to the Ross Report. :) ) The Jericho/Storm VS Orton/Flair match wasn't bad. They went through the regular routine, and put on a good enough show for the crowd. Gotta love BORING the hell outta Storm. He did do a nice clothesline off the top rope. That wasn't too expected. Did anyone notice that there were something like 6 photographers out for this match? I think Storm might make the cover of WWE Magazine (or whatever they call it). At least a major story on him would be nice. Hurricanes match (I'm ignoring the un-sergenty Sergent Slaughter and La Ouisistance). What match? TripleHo VS Kane. OOO... AAA.... EEE? Nothing spectacular here either. And Kane was using the "Sit upright after being layed out" schitck a little too much in this match. Maybe since he is unmasked now, he isn't going to be using it anymore. Anyway, the mask he was wearing didn't look right. Because of the wig being sewn on, it made him look fat and lopsided. More on his hair. OOO, dang. I'd be scared if I had his fresh new hairdo! Its almost like a fierce mullet of some sort. As for the paint on his face, the main point is to blacken his eyes when he is masked. If you remember when Undertaker was pretending to be Kane, when he was unmasked he had the same smudge factor all over his face. But I do think Kane's was intentional this time. |
yea, unmasking Kain was a crock. If they couldn't do better than black face paint they shouldn't have unmasked him. The contacts were a nice touch, and shaved head wasn't to bad, but they could have done better. And I didn't even see Goldberg win that match, I saw him come out, I left to grab a drink and when I come back his hand is raised....
|
A couple of things I noticed from RAW :
Dead silence for Nash when he came out, doesn't he get the message? Retire already. Sloppiest low blow ever by Flair in that match too, looks like it took him about 5 seconds of rummaging around between Nash's legs to find something to hit. As much as I dislike Rodney Mack, I love the term "White Boy Challenge". If you've got an 'unbeatable' midcarder, why crush him with a main eventer? Someone like the Hurricane would have benefitted a lot more from ending Mack's streak. I loved the Orton/Foley bit in the back. The way Orton looked all worried when Vince saw Foley punked out, until Vince started calling for a janitor. Move over Bradshaw, the new Heavyweight bad haircut champion is Kane. I loved the highlight reel, and using Jericho to help put Storm over, I just hope it turns into a main event push sometime soon for arguably the best wrestler on the RAW roster. Gotta love good ol' JR for screaming 'he's so hideous!' about Kane, come on, he's just got a bad haircut, some black paint smudged on his face, and a mean scowl. I'm interested in seeing what they do with him now. Hmmm, 3 months ago, I never would have imagined I'd be more interested in seeing RAW than Smackdown, but the only major storyline on SD is the McMahon-Hogan jackoff saga. Does Paul Heyman have any say in what's going on anymore? |
WWE's stroking Goldberg though. He's been playing pussy the entire time he's been here. Its just a play off his "Indestructable Machine" gimmick or whatever he had in WCW. I actually think it was good for Goldberg, because it is giving him SOME sort of 'credibility'. Heck... with the 1.5+ million he's making for the year, I'd do the white-boy challenge. Yes. I'm Chinese. Quiet.
Thinking about Kane VS Bradshaw in the hair dept (thanks rockzilla), I think Bradshaw has a decent haircut. Sure, its a throwback to the 80's and early 90's, but its nicely groomed and he can walk outside with it. Another hair thang - KIDMAN. Word from those who have seen him doing the house shows, he looks like Neo from the Matrix. So tight, and pulled back on the sides, and tossed over on the front. Jim Ross reported that the real reason Heyman was out of action is because of a neck injury. He injured it before Christmas, but he stayed on TV to get the revenge by Lesnar done with. So Heyman saved the day by risking further injury. No set date on when he's coming back, but when he does - you can expect him to continue playing Heel. Its in his blood, and he does it so well. Dang annoying voice. ;) |
I ws really hoping they'd throw a swerve in this week's show and give Kane the strap. Unmasking him takes away an aura of mystery that makes the character so interesting. I'm simply terrified at this point that he'll fade into the roster after a couple weeks (when this angle plays out).
I'm not as big a HHH fan as I was when I started watching a few years ago, mainly due to overexposure. He makes a great heel, but he's held the belt since it was reinstated on Raw, I believe. I watch every week - but would sure love to see them shake things up just a little title-wise. |
HHH has held the belt for all but one month. He lost to best friend Shawn Michaels in the 6 man elimination chamber match (so he didn't even really lose), but won it back at the next PPV I believe. You're right, the title picture is pretty stale, but the WWE hasn't really done much to build up credible contenders. Since HHH has already buried the whole roster, all they've been doing is bringing in outside talent and has beens for HHH to squash (Steiner, Nash, Foley might get a turn, Goldberg'll get buried eventually). HHH will ruin the credibility of the entire RAW roster soon, but he's fucking the boss' daughter, so it's okay.
|
Steiner was never going to make it. Face the facts. Or at least try to figure out anything he has done that is special, except sit on the ropes, in between Stacy's ass and the fans. Homeboy really needs to learn how to make the fans happy. One way is to learn some new moves. The other way is to let the fans see some womany ass.
As for WWE giving Kane the belt last Monday, of which they did not, we kinda knew it wasn't going to happen. Its a RAW event. So its non-PPV. There is no way VinnieMac is going to give up the sole (current) purpose of the PPV's he has been turning out lately. Nearly all PPV's mainevents revolve around the World Title. Giving it up on a televised non-PPV event kinda cheapens the deal. We can just forget about the PPVs if the world title changes hand on regular TV. *gasp* (inhale, exhale) Luckily, VinnieMac wised up and realized that there needed to be the Intercontinental and US titles to help improve the quality of the show. Sure, both of the titles do not hold the same prestigue, but it gives the people who are not World title material a chance to get gold. And it gives the guys who are World title material a place to go when their stories are over. They need some time to rest, while still staying in the spotlight. |
Frankly, I preferred HHH when he was a credible heel, not the pussy they make him out to be now. Before he could talk the talk, but also walk the walk; he didn't need no stinkin' outside interference to retain his belt, he would just pull out some dirty trick and win anyways. Now it seems like he always needs Flair and Orton to come and save his sorry behind. That's why I think people disrespect him so much. A badass mofo champ everyone can get behind but someone who needs to be bailed out on a weekly basis just doesn't cut it.
|
Where to start...
Kidman makes an appearance on Smackdown ringside with some girl. I think people are giving the Kane thing a bad rap. Lets see where they are going with this first. The better way would have been to of had him be lying the whole time about everything. Or have been brainwashed by Paul Bearer to believing he was horribly scarred. But no way WWE was going to give up that OMG moment when he took the mask off. Dudley's are back and looking for gold. Where will this lead them? I think it will be their last title run as a team. Y2J and Lance (yawn) Storm. good match, and Storm needs to get with Dawn Marie and find another team mate to remake the impact players and destroy everyone. Except the greatest tag team ever to come out of France. (Though they technically are from Canada). I'm all about young guys getting their shot. 2 Cool points for Spleen. T.L. Let me clean yout toilet Hopper was a plummer. Him and Duke "the dumpster" Drossey could have made a great tag team if they were around at the same time. AND THATS THE BOT.... no thats not it, IF YA SMELLLLLLL ..nope not it either, STAND BACK THERE'S A HUR... still not it, oh I got it. Until next time, Viva La Resistance!! |
The Unmasking of Kane
Did anybody else think this was a mistake? At first I did, but in a way I like it and they could always throw it back on him later. Everyone (on another board) said that he'll lose his mysteriousness. But I never really thought that was Kane's appeal. I like the fact that he goes to the top rope (wish he'd do a different move every now and then), he moves extremely well, and his mic skills are extremely underrated. I've always liked Kane, but, for a big man, he's one of the best. Besides I like seeing Kane hit the ref, chokeslam everyone, not give a shat who he destroys, and just come out looking like a badass. |
I still can not figure out your fascination with La Ouisistance. Here are my problems with them:
1) Like you said, they are not TRUE frenchmen. Canadians all the way down from their heads to their toes. 2) They are too green right now. They continue to be Maven-like and pull out the same bag of moves every week. 3) They don't have really good timing, or at least timing that is consistant. That stems from their being too green. 4) THEIR COSTUMES. Hokey Smack, those are some of the worst entrance outfits that I have seen in a while. The only thing that is comparable right now is Hurricanes former entrance attire of the silver cape/robe and headband. ====== I'm happy that Jamal is gone. It will let Rosie be new "big guy" for everyone to beat on, and not just the attachment to the "other fat guy who looks like Rikishi and is really loud". I also think that Rosie is pretty agile for a guy of his size. Just a thought. Kill 3 minute warning. That was the worst name for a tag-team outside of "The Pink Triangles". |
Nice trib to Foley Monday--surprised I haven't seen more posts about it...he deserves it ...a hard worker and a great guy [does a lot for charity] but being thrown half-way to the boiler room may have left the door open for the return of Mankind at some point...anyone else think that?
|
Well, Foley's current contract with the WWE just ended. It lasted about 4 weeks. It was just to let him promote his book, and to participate in a lackluster PPV. He has expressed an interest in returning to the WWE in the future though, and this definitely leaves the door wide open for a feud with Orton and VinnieMac. If he had left after the tribute, and just showed up one day, then he would need to create a new angle as to why he returned.
|
Foley is God. Im sick of this product right now. Though I will watch tonight to see the return of one of my favs in WCW, Ultimo Dragon on Smackdown.
|
Spleen's Smackdown on... Smackdown... ?
APATaker VS the FBI: Uh, hmm. You would think that Bradshaw would get a better reaction from the crowd. Its probably because he isn't recognizable anymore. The new hair, and the less-flabby body. I'll give him a few weeks. If he doesn't return to form and get the reaction he deserves, then, well, poop on him. V1 Hardy VS Kishi Cripes, Rikishi looked like crap in the ring. He needs to get his stamina back up, because it looked like he was suffering the entire match. A little conditioning would be good. Of course, there is also the genetics thing to think of. He is naturally going to be large because of his backgroung. His entire family is big (minus jimmy snuka, who is related by marriage (i think)) El Guerreo y Tajiri VS Piper/Ohaire Piper should never take his shirt off. Never. Ever. ULTIMO DRAGON VS SHANNON MOORE THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE ENTIRE FREAKING SHOW. Okay, thats out of my system. Ultimo exceeded my expectations, even while not pulling all the tricks out of his sack. He and Shannon (more later on) put on an amazing show. His finisher looks good, especially when the crowd went nuts over it. If you didn't see it, its Ultimo going up to take an Atomic Drop. But he continues over his opponents back in an arc, grabbing the guys head and neck. It lands in a mock reverse DDT. Very good looking move. I skipped the 6man tag. I still don't watch big show. ===== Shannon Moore the new Jamie Noble? Moore took everything Ultimo had to give out tonight, and he did it without screwing up. Noble does it for Mysterio, by easily going from transition to transition, move to move without any visible timing errors. I think that after tonights matchup, Moore will continue to wrestle Ultimo, just from Ultimo to bring out new moves to wow the crowd. Moore did an excellent job tonight and needs to be commended. |
When Version 1.0 took the turnbuckle padding off, leaving that lethal exposed steel, I was convinced that it would backfire on him, giving Rikishi the win. Thank God I was wrong.
What the hell are Benoit & Rhyno doing on Velocity, and why the hell are they still tag partners? I guess they've got to slow the story down with another month until Vengeance. Looking forward to some Berverly Hillbilly-style fun now that Jamie Noble is a rich man. Him and Nidia are always good for a laugh, the stuff they did with Tajiri was classic. During the taping, Vince accidentally hit a fan in the head while breaking Tenacious Z's cane, sparking a "Lawsuit" chant from the crowd. Shame they didn't show that. |
i caught the end of smackdown last night. i'm amazed what a reaction mr. america gets--is it pity? is it fun to see an old man get angry? or is hulkamania all over the place and i can't get on the wagon?
|
Damn, I was really looking forward to Ultimo Dragon's debut on Smackdown, but had to miss it due to family obligations. I hope he has another match next week. Here's to him getting into the Cruiser Weight title hunt so we can see Ultimo Dragon vs. Rey Mysterio Jr. They should be able to put on a good show.
|
Ya know, with all the hype about Ultimo Dragon, I wasn't that impressed. Looks like he botched a couple moves and he wasn't all that quick. I expected him to be flying all around the ring. If they want to sell this guy, he should have had a lot easier time with Shannon Moore.
|
Quote:
oh.. and bradshaw's "clothesline from hell" kicked ass!! |
You both have to realize that Ultimo has not wrestled in a few months. Aside from the 4man matches he was doing in the house shows, he hasn't had much recent time in the ring.
And don't forget that while he was wrestling in Japan, he had a massive injury to his elbow (note the black thing on his arm) that required surgery. Not only did it go into the operating room, but the doctor who was performing it botched it. He has a screwed up arm now. That would cause for a decrease in his abilities. Then you need to know that if he turned out all his tricks today, what the heck would we do with him next time? I mean, how many 619's to West Coast Pops can a person do before it gets boring? |
In other news:
YOU'RE FIRED!!! (spit spit, hack cough. dammit. I don't see how VinnieMac does that) Roddy Piper has been tossed out of the WWE for remarks made during an interview for HBO. Apparantly, WWE officials (Read: VinnieMac) didn't care for Pipers accusations that pro wrestling encourages people to start taking drugs. (See: VinnieMac now) So, they have nothing better to do but throw him out (Tossed by: VinnieMac) before his current contract ends in August. No more contract negotiations (One sided: VinnieMac) will be made to see if Piper will continue to work with the WWE and Sean OHaire. Oh well. Thats just one old guy out of the way. As long as Jim "HOOOOOOOOO" Duggan doesn't show up again. ;) ===== Who's going to win the US Title? Oh c'mon, thats an easy question. WHO BETTA THAN KANY... Oh yeah... everybody. Hmm... this may take some work. Heck, I don't even know what the ladder looks like, because StepHHH McMaHHHon hasn't shown us anything. All we see are some weak ass preliminarys. BUT, from who I think is involved, I do believe V1 Hardy will win. He's my hands down favorite, even though its probably going to go to Benoit. He's done the time, he was headlining, now he's back midcarding. Once he drop Rhyno like the piece of crap he is, Benoit will rise once again. Anyway, my small list for the US title in order of who will probably win (and based on the fact that I don't know who is involved either): 1) V1 Hardy 2) Benoit 3) The suprise return of THE HURRICANE :) 4) Eddie Guerrero (even though he's going to be holding the Tag Title in some form for the next 3 months) 5) John Cena. whore. |
I'm hoping Benoit gets the US title, if only as an apology for having Cena pushed over him during Angle's absence. But I'm thinking it'll be Benoit vs. Rhyno at Vengeance, and as much as I'd like to see V1 Hardy with a nicer piece of gold, I doubt it since he just had the cruiserweight belt. That makes my best guess John Cena, although I think Benoit deserves it most (if he can't have a world title run)
|
Quote:
Good riddance to Piper, now if only Flair could do the same thing. we'd be in business once again. HHH is honking Steph again? That Fabio wanna be bastard!! If I had to pick one to win the US title, I'll go with Hardy. And I'm sure it'll be by devious means, of course. I would like to see Benoit win it, cuz he needs some gold around his waist. |
Dude, HHH is marrying StepHHH McMaHHHon in October or November. In real life. For real yo. HHHe asked HHHer to marry HHHim on Valentines Day of tHHHis year. I tHHHink its kinda gross, and I do not seeing it work out in the long run. HHHowever, considering how small HHHis package really is, I don't see any baby McMaHHHon HHHelmsly's being born any time soon.
===== Lets see now... thats 2 votes for Hardy, 1 vote for Benoit. Plus 2 kinda sorta votes for Benoit because we all think he needs to get something to hold up his pants. ;) |
WWE finally listening and getting rid of hte old guys. Piper gone last week, and today Hogan announces on Bubba the Love Sponge that he is taking a "hiatus from the WWE". He says its after how he was portrayed in the 6-man match last week. Anyone think its more fallout from the HBO interview?
|
Raw was pretty shitty this week. Very little worth noting. Gail Kim looked good in her debut, I've done a little research on her, and if they let her do the Rey Mysterio style moves, she'll make something interesting happen in the Women's division.
I really liked Rico's match too. He reminds me of Golddust, but even more fairylike, it's pretty easy to get heat with a gay gimmick, but he was prancing about like champ. I hope he gets into the Intercontinental title hunt, or a tag team run with Golddust. Funny how they kept Jackie Gayda out of the women's Battle Royale, I guess they don't want to put her back in the ring. Other than that, everything else on the show was a waste of time, especially how they've already ruined the IC title by not letting Christian win a match cleanly since he won the belt, or just giving the belt to Booker. |
After seeing Gail Kim in her premiere match... I think I'm in love. Even though next week she will be stripped of the title, Teddy Long will come out and "holla" at "the playas" and point out that Jazz never went over the top rope.
Rico's match was absolutely hilarious. He is quite the prancer, and his escort/pet is mega hot. I almost fell out of my chair laughing when he kissed Maven. Question: If Kane hates RVD, why did he turn away from him to choke slam Bitchoff? THE PLOT THICKENS!!! *DUN DUN DUH!!!* |
GAIL WAS HOT. *cough cough* scuse me.
That was one of the weakest battle royals I've seen... EVER. Probably because none of the talent had their A-games for the match. Oh well. I saw Victoria do her finsher. That was a waste. Ivory almost popped herself outta her uniform. Poo. I want Victoria to get some more airtime. boohoohooo. THE HURRICANE and ??? to be tag champions? It would be nice. I want to see some more gold on the Hurricane. Probably him and Val Venis, because they were doing a few house shows together. Rico had a decent match. Maven did... better than usual. If Rico's gimmick is going to work, he needs to prance a little bit less so he can antagonize his opponents more. A nice finisher would be good too. Kicks in the head just don't cut it. Except the Shining Wizard. SWizard is cooler than... ice. ;) Kane's match - did'nt watch it. But he probably slammed Bischoff because he blames Bischoff for his unmasking. We all know Kane and RVD are going to feud for a bit, so there is plenty of time. ===== In other news, Crash has left the WWE. So we only have one official Mattitude Follower, and Mooreon. Its too bad that VinnieMac never used Crash as more than a beanbag. He has good talent. Expect him to show up in NWA:TNA for a few shows (probably, I don't really know) and possibly join the X division. Then he might join MLW because a lot of other stars are appearing there. |
Raw was pretty cool. I really like this gail kim! I loved that move she did to get victoria out of the ring! Very Awesome!
Damn when kane choke slammed bischoff, oooh it looked like it hurt! He hit the table so awkwardly.... eeek. I think it's so funny that they are making this huge thing about kanes face, that he's all hideous, and has totally disgusting face. And he's pretty normal looking. I'm glad they are making him keep the contacts though. What was kanes name before, DR. Isaac Yankem, or something like that a long time ago? That was funny! hehe just wanted to add my two cents!!!:D |
Quote:
OH YEAH, where did you find out about this Spleen? I though HHH used to be married to Chyna. I forgot where I heard that, and it was a long time ago. and BTW where do you get all your other insider info? |
I always thought Test and Stepanie had a thing going on.... So Step and HHH in real life. Seems weird. Best of luck to them, now if HHH would just drop the belt and let us have another HeavyWeight Champ I'd be happy. As for the US belt, it should go to none other than the Canadian Crippler Chris Benoit.
|
RajahWWE has good inside info.
|
Rico's match was very funny. I hate him and maven but that was probably the best match of the night.
Did Jazz really get knocked out? I thought it was planned but she didn't come back out and get a sneaky win, but then again it looks like gail was meant to win... I dunno. I was hoping Victoria was going to win, but Gail kim is just as good I guess :) |
I read that she did actually get hurt but her shoulder just popped out of place and that was it...
|
Just curious for those who watch WWE Raw on TNN, was the scene with Test taking actions against Stacey cut from your feed?
|
bondagegirl - I get pretty much all of my info from http://www.steveswrestling.com . Its acts as a wrestling filter of a bunch of sites, where mostly the main news is given a small summary. You can then go to the actual site and read the entire article.
cybermike - Jazz got her arm dislocated. She'll be back in action next week. HeyAgain - Our canadian neighbors who watch RAW on TSN (TSN? I think thats it) had the Test part cut out of the broadcast. Darn you canadian entertainment authority, darn you! |
I remember a few years ago, TSN showed a similar segment on RAW (can't remember the specific incident) where a man attacked a woman. A few months later TSN had to air a full screen explanation of the incident and how it broke Canadian broadcasting laws and how sorry they were, they probably got fined pretty badly too. It stayed on for a few minutes between the commercial break and the RAW broadcast. Ever since then, TSN's been pretty careful about what they show.
Bondagegirl, I think HHH and Chyna broke up because HHH was cheating on her with Stephanie, and now Chyna and Sean Waltman (X-Pac) are married. That must be a hilarious looking couple, she could break him in half with her thighs. |
Latest rumored reason for Hogan's departure was he was unhappy with the payout he got from the last Wrestlemania - per 1wrestling.com
|
Whoah, Chyna and Sean Waltman? That's pretty big news.
As far as HHH and Chyna's break-up, there was an episode of Off The Record (a talk-show type thing on TSN here in Canada) with HHH on it. He was asked about his break-up with Chyna and whether Stephanie was the cause of it. HHH said not directly, because things had been going downhill between them both for quite some time beforehand, it's just that Chyna didn't see it. Stephanie was just there at the right time. As far as the Raw segment that got TSN in trouble, my guess is when the Dudley's were doing that thing where Bubba Ray would powerbomb different women through a table each week. |

Spleen's Smack Down... of Smackdown?
Only things worth talking aboot this week are the Tag Match and Gowan. BENJAMIN/HAAS VS EDDIE/TAJIRI Nice match. Good ups and downs. I'm suprised that Benjamin and Haas won, but if that means they can start calling themselves the best tag team in the WWE today, then I'm all for it. Without that claim, they have nothing to fall back on. It's good to see Eddie being a heel again. Its just not right for him to play a face. Good for him. Now we just need Chavito to return, and bring the gold back to Mexico. StepHHH McMaHHHon (and gowan) :) VS BIGSHMO Wow. If StepHHH didn't carry Zach throughout the entire match, Tenacious Z never would have got his contract without her great skill. Ok, time to take my head out of my butt. Z ROCKED THE HIZZOUSE!! Finally good to see him in action. Thats all. Enjoy. ;) Now if Z and Spanky (Penis) teamed up... |
Tenacious Z is the man...and I'm psyched to see Eddie turn heel...he shines as a heel...not thrilled about the 3-way dance for the title that they announced.
|
Quote:
|
Now that Eddie doesn't have any gold, I'm hoping they put him in the US Title tournament. Have him beat Sean O'haire or someone next week, then cheat to beat fan favorite Mr. Ass, setting up Guerrero/Benoit for the belt at Vengeance, there's your match of the night now that Big Slow's in the main event, at least he probably won't win it, if Vince wants to save Angle/Lesnar for Summerslam.
|
Just as an advance to this nights RAW (which airs in 4.5 hours, so I have not seen tonights show yet): I'm really not liking Austin and Bischoff working together. Its not that Bischoff doesn't do what he does well, making people hate him, but Austin just is not living up to my expectations. We all know that he is severely injured, and isn't going to wrestle any time soon. What does that mean? He isn't going to fight with anyone. Probably ever. So we can't expect him to actually feud with anyone. That really limits what kind of things he can get into. I don't know. It is kinda sad.
===== other news: Jindrak, Mark Jindrak. Bwah hahahahhahah!! He's going to get a major push since he is officially the newest member of Evolution. You can ask Val Venis, cause the penisy one says so, BROTHER!! In order to do the big push, aside from prancing around with Flair and TripleHo, Jindrak will be teaming with Orton to become the tag team of the moment. I guess that is a good enough reason, seeing as I still don't like La Ouisistance. ====== Jeff Hardy fans will be happy he is still wrestling. He's been signed to wrestle for Ring of Honor for a threeway match. Thats all I know, and all I care to say about him. GO V1!!! ===== Oh yeah, Sean Waltman (mr. Chyna) is not with NWA anymore. Seems like he just isn't looking marketable anymore (if ever). |
Ok, sorry for my absence, I know you all missed me. I'll try not to stay away so long next time.
Thoughts... Ultimo in his prime had over 9 belts at once. Including the WCW Cruiserweight and the WWF LightHeavyweight, at once. And he beat everybody. He has 1 good arm and is still a better worker than half the guys on the roster. I never eeeeevvver linked Mark Jindrak, I like Sean O'haire when the 2 were tag champs in WCW, but never like Jindrak. If you love heel tag teams you gotta love La Resistance. They are green, and just think what they'll look like in a year. I'm an old school fan of the Rougeaux Brothers and they fit that mold perfectly. And they are a true tag team, not 2 guys put together to make a team. Hurricane needs a great partner, I have no clue what they have in store for him, and I think you may be a little against L.R. because they have beaten, nay, dominated the Green one for the last two weeks. And I like the 'Cane, he's one of the best guys on the entire WWE roster. Tonight will be Austin only, so I'm guessing he'll be getting a chokeslam at some point. Until next time... You know the rest. On a side note, thanks to Spleen for creating one of the most popular boards in the entertainment section. Keep up the good work.:hmm: :hmm: |
I just saw the match with Booker T and Christian, personally I'm glad Booker has some sort of gold again. I haven't seen the rest of the show as I've been out.
|
Its only popular because out of the 160 posts in here, I made 80 of them :D
And I don't like La Ouisistance because they are beating the poop outta the Hurricane (WOOSH!!). I don't like them because they have some of the worst outfits... ever. Oh yeah, and they are not really French. And they spent less time in OVW than Jindrak. And Maven. And Nowinski. And Jackie Gayda. And Linda (whats her name with the Bashams? Laquisha?). ===== NO!!! BOOKER WON THE IC CHAMPIONSHIP!?!??! NOO!!!! ITS SHOULD HAVE WAITED TILL SUMMERSLAM!!! DARN YOU VINNIEMAC!!! DARN YOU!!! |
Details, details...
NO Goldberg so far, and no L.R. and the main event is on. L.R. put in real ring time other than the WWE farm system. Both are former Stampede athletes I believe. They earned their spots, you need to lay off the hate-oraid playa. You can belive dat. All the tough enoughs were so green it's not even funny, and Maven gets his shot at the Game on Sunday. Go figure... |
Anyone notice it looks like Trish quit working out? She's still hot but I swear I saw a gut hanging over her pants, and her butt was jiggling a little more than usual, not that I'm complaining, it's just an observation.
|
Spleens RAW review:
Booker T is Intercontinental Champ. Thats a good thing. The bad thing is that he won it on RAW, and not on a major PPV. I expect him to lose it real quick, so we can have a buildup to SummerSlam. GO BOOKER!! BUT I'M STILL ONE OF CHRISTIANS PEEPS!! Holy crap! Did you see Hurricane's Shining Wizard off the back of Rosey into Rodney Macks head?! Otherwise, I'll looking forward to Rosey feuding with the Mack. It would be good for both their careers because they really have nothing else to do. Where the hell is Nowinski? Victoria VS Gail Kim (oh yeah, the two other guys too) Dang, Victoria was looking good tonight. Physically. Nice in-ring Attire. :) Gail could use some work. Her last Hurricanrana nearly decapitated Victoria. GO Y2J - MR. CANADA!!! Okay, that is all that was worth mentioning for tonights RAW. ===== Other thoughts: I'll drink all the hate-r-aide I dang well feel like, BI-ATCH!!! I'll Hurrislam your ass into the ground, so WHATS UP WIT DAT!?!?!?!? Eh, Trish looks like Trish. I don't think she ever had a flat stomach. She just covers it up with her shirts. |
My RAW thoughts :
It's about time they finished the Christian - Booker T feud. Christian was booked to be one of the weakest champions in the belt's history, right down there with the Godfather. I bet they'll hand Orton the belt at or before Summerslam though. Any match with a Gail Kim near-beaver-shot gets **** from me, regardless of how average the rest of the match was. Notice the lack of La Resistance on the show? I guess they didn't want to take the chance of the Frenchies getting cheers in Montreal. No Goldberg either, I'm not complaining though. I loved Rico's acting job when Stone Cold asked him "who did this to you?" and Rico said "Kane... I.. think it was... Kane... ugh" (passes out) such cheese. Cheers to Y2J for going from Mr. Canada (easy for him to do in Canada) to super heel in the middle of the promo. I hope Michaels gives Jericho the win he deserved at Wrestlemania. Kinda surprised Kevin Nash did the J-O-B to Test of all people, maybe he'll quit soon. |
Hopefully Nash quits. I didn't like him when he left WWF(E) and I still don't like him now that he is back. Soon, he'll fade away into the logs of yesteryear, as VinnieMac realizes that no one really cares about Nash. I mean, we have Test. Test=Nash. Trust me. Its not hard to give someone a boot to the head. Tests Finisher=Nashs Finisher. They are both the same move, just presented differently.
And I read on steveswrestling.com (which he most likely borrowed from a different site) that Goldberg WAS scheduled to be on RAW, as was La Ouisistance. But somehow, Goldberg realized that he had an elbow infection when he got to the arena. Not on the plane, not before he left his residence. AT THE FREAKING ARENA. Like he didn't notice. So anyway, Goldberg was supposed to do something with La Ouisistance, but since G was in the hospital getting his elbow checked out - No Frenchies. ;) |
Anyone else cringe when they saw SCSA take the chokeslam? Knowing how bad his neck is in real life, I was surprised they had him take the bump. It didn't look as protected as the one Stacey took last week, either.
|
I have to agree with you mrquackers. I seriously cannot tell if S.Austin is selling the move, or he is really worried about whether something shifted in his neck. The same goes for Kurt Angle. I'm just expecting one of them to take a bad hit (like taking a hurricanrana from Gail Kim) and landing on their heads. Then, they don't get up.
It is good though, that they pretty much outlawed the piledriver. Well, kinda. Anyway, that is a really good way of screwing up a persons neck. If you are not supported properly by the person dropping you, or your head and neck are too long... well, good bye wrestling career. |
Only thing I saw this week was the first fifteen minutes, and I walked by the tv right when the Y2J/HBK segment was beginning. Raw is of no interest to me because of the cancer known as HHH. He has destroyed the credibility of every main event contender and will probably only lose that title if he tears that damn quad again.
Smackdown is a much more dynamic show. Everyone is on equal footing and is given a chance. They make stars on Smackdown. Raw just destroys them so HHH can keep his spot. Guess that is just one of the perks of banging the boss' daughter. |
Hey does anyone know if Bischoff got hurt from that choke slam that kane handed him last week on RAW? They played replays of it this week, and I say again OUCH!!! It really looked like it hurt... and he wasn't around this week...
|

I am sure he got a bit of a sore back though. |

Is that all forms of the piledriver? So no more Tombstone Piledriver or Inverted Piledrivers? I know what happened to Stone Cold, but i miss the tombstone, i liked it a hella lot better than the Last Ride which looks just like the Kevin Nash's old Diesel Bomb. Also that replay of the Choke slam Kane gave Bischoff was wicked... That was the first time I had seen that footage and I have give credit to the two of them for not serious hurting Bischoff. |
bondage - When Bischoff got slammed, he landed on a table... of sorts. What they tryed to hide was the fact that the table was supported by a large black cushion. So the table was most likely weakened to shatter on impact, and bischoff was padded by the black thing. Whenever someone gets tossed off the side of the ramp, they usually land on the pad, or the piles of coils, that are most likely some more sponge or rubber. :) I over analyze. :D
Prophacy - I don't think it is all forms of the piledriver. I mean, look at how many people take a DDT on their heads (RVD and Val Venis come to mind). I think it is mainly the sitdown piledriver. The tombstone 'should' be okay, because most of the impact in on the persons shoulders, which are landing on the other guys quad's. I also think that Undertaker stopped using the Tombstone as his finisher because of his new direction of his character. He wants to get away from the Dead Guy gimmick, and the Tombstone is really a dead (har har har) giveaway that he is still the burial man. Let Kane do it for now. And stop it with the stupid Chokeslams!!!! |
Hurri chokeslam is the best and probably the most powerful chokeslam known to man! I miss Big shows old chokeslam, where he actually slammed them instead of just dropping them.
|
yeah... Big Slow's chokeslam has been pretty lackluster lately. Kurt and Brock are even more entertaining than Kurt and Benoit. The "pushup contest" had me laughing till the commercials were over!! I hope that Brock keeps the title at Vengeance, so he and Kurt can go one on one at SummerSlam and can continue their silly shennanigans until then.

I still wonder what Y2J is doing without the World strap around is waist. He is without a doubt the best Heel on Raw. |

He is holding down everyone. |
Speaking of banned moves, how about the invertabreaker? That was an awesome move but I got nervous everytime I saw it.
Everynow and then you'll see a tombstone, but it is only reserved for special talent. Like Pete Rose. Orton with the IC belt? I could dig it. The is no great rivalry for the ages right now. Flair Steamboat, Bret Shawn, Taker Mankind. Austin McMahon, and HHH Rock were some greats. Orton needs to find somebody to feud with through an IC program and on to the Heavyweight title. Booker T would be a great one, even though he's a good bit older. Jericho would also be a good choice, but he likes being heel too much and Orton is a heel 4-life. If not it's a shame. Almost forgot, Until Next Time, Viva La Resistance!! |
I can tell Taker is moving away from the deadman thing, but for god's sake his name is the Undertaker.... The Ministry Taker was the best version and he should have stayed longer as that char IMO.
Anyway, what does everyone think about the match between Zack and Vinny Mac at Vengance? I never order the PPV but I sure would like to see that match if nothing else. |
That match would be the exact reason I would never order Vengence. Too much talent to waste seeing Vinnie Mac wrestle, including Stef on the card too? Are you kidding me?
Smackdown is hurting IMO, and these are not matches that will help. |

Smackdown hasn't been the same since Paul Heyman lost his writing duties. Notice how Big Show, Undertaker, Albert, etc. all showed up around that time, because Vince McMahon jacks off to big men. |
nothing wrong with that! ;)
I havent seen a ppv since backlash, and booooy was i dissapointed. Though i am trying to bum a weekend at phredgreen's for SummerSlam (ooohyeah) I really dislike the direction most of the storylines are going in these days, but there is still a glimer of hope that they could pull 80% of them out of the crapper.. Give La resistance some real heat. stop having people turn every month, give Jericho a title dammit!, and dont fuck this Kane thing up.. Btw, i wouldn't mind seeing Big Steph in a match.. Hell her and Shane-O-mac would make a grrreat team. p.s. Tikki.. GO BOILERS! :) |

I really hope they put Eddie over Mr. Ass in the US title tournament. What better way to help push Eddie as a heel than if he cheats to beat super-face Mr. Ass? And then go on to cheat his way to victory over Benoit at Vengeance, nothing against Matt Hardy V1, but Guererro and Benoit both deserve gold more than Hardy. So far, Vengeance looks 50/50, I'd like to see Rey/Kidman vs. The Greatest Tag Team in the World, The triple threat, and any US Title final without Mr. Ass, I could do without the McMahon matches, and I could care less about Undertaker/Cena.
|
I hope Billy Ass loses horribly in the US title tournament. But it is probably likely that he will win it, just to give him some momentum. I mean, he really hasn't done much since he made his return. And aside from the tag titles, what else has he done? (King of the Ring. BAH!)
So anyway, I'm still a V1 Hardy fan, and I'd like for him to win it. But its still probably going to go to Benoit. For the life of me, I'd rather see Benoit and V1 Hardy at the PPV in the finals, and not in the Smackdown televised semifinal. As for GreatestBenjamin in the World, I feel they are going to retain the titles against Kidman and Mysterio. If you are going to be forced to be named the Greatest Benjamin in the World, you are pretty much forced to hold the titles for at least 2 months. This is the WWE after all. ;) |
Can someone please tell me why the very aged Sable is back. She looks so awful, just like before.
Also, why is the Big Slow, with his protruding gut, still wrestling. Has he heard of the Ketogenic diet. He should go down to OVW, and lose a 100 to 150 lbs. Even Shaq doesn't weigh that much and they are the same height. |

Anytime they ask Show to lose weight or quit smoking, he just laughs and collects a pay check. I think the contract is up sometime this year. I doubt it will be renewed. |
"Details of Paul Wight's contract have been reportedly released as $10 million over his contract period, this has not been confirmed. It has been confirmed that he has a 10 year contract until 2009."
By the time his contract is up, he will have the biggest protuding gut in wrestling. |
Only because I love you all so much: In Wrestler Name - Contract Expiration Format
Kurt Angle - 2007 The Big Show - February 2009 Ric Flair - November 2004 Billy Gunn - January 2005 Mark Henry - August 2006 Jerry Lawler - November 2004 Shawn Michaels - February 2004 Kevin Nash - January 18, 2004 Rikishi - October 2005 The Rock - October 2004 Al Snow - May 2005 Triple H - August 2004 The Undertaker - May/June 2007 ===== As for BigSmho's gut, I think that he needs it. For a man of his size (height) to take so many bumps and stuff, he would break in half if he was any thinner. Andre the Giant wasn't thin. The Giant Gonzales... well he was. But still. Taking the "ideal" body frame/type and only making it taller is not healthy. There has to be an equal expansion in girth in a proper ratio for the body to function somewhat normally. |
ugh. 2009 seems like sooo far away.
Its a shame that HHH's contract will be renewed as well. Raw wrestlers might actually have a chance if he was gone. |
ummm i thought big show had some disease "gigantism?" that doesn't allow his body to stop "growing" per se... and doesn't he have a severely reduced life expectancy (something like he'll never live to see age 50)...
|
The big show looked good when he first came to WWE. He had lost alot of wieght and was doing pretty good, but not he's gained it all back and looks as bad as he did when he left WCW. He looks REALLY horrible after matches when he has puffy eyes and look like he's about the have a fricking stroke.
|
Spoiler are up for Thursdays Smackdown and to ease some of the concerns the following is a spoiler,,,
Eddie does indeed beat Mr. Ass and will face Benoit for the US title, and the way the crowd is loving Eddie I expect him to go over big timeI like this scenerio, with interference from Chavo, Rhyno comes to help but costs Benoit the title, finally, FINALLY breaking the 2 up and setting them in a program together. |

PLEASE DON'T POST SPOILERS!!!
I make every effort to avoid reading them until after the matches, so I can remember what went down. ;) That being said - GOOD GOOD GOOD. If V1 can't fight in the final, Eddie and Benoit are an excellent match. They came into the WWE together, and aside from Saturn leaving and Malenko doing the business side, they well... yeah. Rock on. Between the two though - I'm voting for Benoit, because I feel he deserves it after not winning the World Title so many times. Eddie is going to benefit enormously, as Mario brought up, so expect him to feud with Benoit for awhile. :D |

Did anyone else watch RAW last night...not a bad night, but what was with that "main Event" last night with JR being set on fire an, the Linda McMahon phone call and the threat to fire Austin next week...unlike a Lance Storm match [although it is getting him over] BOOOORing!! Also, why are they burying Christian? |
Didn't watch. I was protesting because it as in Indianapolis, and I was not :D

Spleens RAW Review
Not much this week, pretty lame showing for RAW if you ask me. Stratus/Steiner/Nash VS Test/Victoria/Richards Uhhh... hmm... If Test versus Steiner isn't boring enough already, lets put Nash in there to get some action!! Or not. I was waiting for Victoria to tear into Trish (which she kinda did). And aside from Test actually having a good time pissing off the crowd, nothing really went down. Storm VS Maven Hokey crap!! Maven screwed up a hip-toss. Storm was supposed to take Maven down, but Maven forgot to take the fall. He experienced a pathetic delayed reaction, and somehow landed on top of Storm. Nothing else to do but try to get the pinfall, but that wasn't scripted (I don't think) and everyone got back up. Sad sad sad. I expect Hurricane and Rosey to team up as a tag team. That would be pretty cool. Almost another Mabel and Moe (M.O.M) teamup. Huge guy and small guy. :D I turned the TV off after that, cause I was bored as hell and didn't think I would miss anything exciting that couldn't be read the next day in the post-show spoilers :) And by the looks of it, nothing exciting in the least. ===== Other Notes: Evolution sucks. Die. The FBI sucks. Die. Victoria sucks, me. ;) |
Jim Ross got burned! I don't want to sound crazy and all but the show got a hell of alot more interesting when they set Jim Ross on fire.
Yeah, i know it was just a stunt double but can't a guy believe? |
I personally do not like the Kane storyline at all. Its just so damn cheesy. I like the way they have explained his miraculously unscarred face by calling it an extreme phsychological thing (a la fantastic 4 comic books), but just the bad acting and lack of suprise (when he brought out the gas can you KNEW how it was gonna end).
