For what it's worth, I feel it's one of King's best books. I've read every one of them and this one I enjoyed a great deal. Basically, it's a ghost story, but it's also about love and loss. Really well written.
I'd tell you more, but I think it would spoil it. Just enjoy the book!

See, I disagree. I too have read most of his books, and only read this one for what I thought would be a deeper connection with the Dark Tower books (the connection is negligible). I found this one too slow and the payoff not very good. One of his weaker in recent memory.
But that's just my opinion. I hope you enjoy it more than I did!
