I started a thread last year about how much I like the tv show The OC. Well it starts up again tonight, and I for one, can't wait. I kept the last 2 episodes on tivo all summer just so we could watch them before the start of this year.

So just to recap from last year. Marissa shoots Tre (ryan's brother), because he's beating the crap out of Ryan. Ryan was over there because he wanted to beat the crap out of Tre, because Tre tried to get with Marissa (but she beat him with a big piece of wood). Kirsten goes off to rehab. I think Seth and Summer are still dating.

So, any speculation for this year. I haven't seen one preview because I tivo everything now and never watch commercials.

Who is leaving the show?

Trey is hospitalised, and has some sort of reconcilliation with Ryan, then leaves The OC for the most part. Marissa's drinking problem resurfaces since she shot Ryan's brother, Ryan tries to deal with it but can't, and either Seth or Sandy comes in to fix things. Marissa's mom is implicated in the death of Caleb. Seth and Summer have more problems, but it works out in the end.

I haven't seen any previews yet either. Didn't even know it was premiering so early.

Saw half of it yesterday. Typical episode of the OC, nothing particularly special or outstanding.

I was a huge fan of season 1, but last year really disappointed me. The last few episodes of season 2 had showed signs of the OC of old but it came back with a dud to start season 3. Hopefully now with the whole Trey storyline over with they can pick up where they left off in season 1 but I’m skeptical.

I'm gonna have to go ahead and admit I only watch it to stare longingly at Rachel Bilson.

I'll have to admit, the season opener was a yawner. Too bad I guess. I won't give up though, we'll see how the season plays out.
