Mediteranian tuna Melt
 
Mediteranian Tuna Melts

serves 2

part 1

1 can of flaked light tuna in water.
2oz of olive oil
1 splash of sesame oil
1oz red wine vinager
1/2oz basalmic vinager
pinch of ground black pepper
pinch of kosher salt
minced garlic or garlic powder
1 sprig of rosemary finly chopped
1 sprig of thyme finely chopped
4 basil leaves finely chopped

place ingrediants in a bowl and mix, let sit for an hour.

Part 2

1/2 red onion diced
1 large tomatoe diced
2 to 3 mushrooms thinly sliced
1oz olive oil

Saute ingrediants in a frying pan, once the tomatoes are soft add the tuna and marinade int othe pan. continue to cook till most of the juices are reduced. remove from heat.

part 3

1 bagel
1/8 cup grated assiago

cut the bagel in half, add half the tuna on to the bagel and sprinkle half the assiago cheese on it, then repeat for the second half.


Okay, I know it sounds complicated, but really it's easy.

Interesting, I never think to cook canned tuna.

That was my first thought, but now that I think about it, it might work!

growing up catholic... in the olden days when no meat was allowed on friday... i don't ever want to cook tuna again having endured way too many tuna casseroles...

but that tuna melt sounds yummy
