Homemade Bailey's

Bailey's Irish Liqueur

1/2 tsp instant coffee granules
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup Whiskey
1 cup whipping cream
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup chocolate syrup

In large bowl, dissolve coffee grounds in vanilla; whisk in whiskey, cream, condensed milk and chocolate syrup. Pour into decorative bottles. Seal and refrigerate.
(Make-ahead: Refrigerate for up to two weeks)
Makes 1 litre.

That's the original recipe that I found. However, for my personal tastes, I found that adding a bit more alcohol makes it taste more like actual Bailey's (too sweet otherwise). For my next batch, I'm gonna try 1/2 can sweetened condensed milk and 1/2 of that can with actual milk. Ah, alcohol experimentation.........the best kind ;)

I made this a short while ago.

EVERYONE loved it!

Its a little thicker than store bought, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. and for those where it was, mix it with a little milk and its awesome!.
