It could be a cultural thing. Maybe they don't call it a "lazy eye" in Texas. Maybe its a "lonesome wanderin' eye" or something.

A lazy eye is one which doesn't move with the other eye. Or maybe it moves, but stares off into another direction. It kind of freaks people out sometimes.

Now this particular cartoon eye is sitting in a chair, drinking beer, smoking, and watching TV. His optic nerve is hanging out, like he doesn;t have a care in the world. He's "lazy" see?

Its a play on words. A pun, if you will....its...its...oh, why do I bother?
