Yes, I like the look of it.

I think though, that you would be much better off in Vancouver than in Switzerland if a big war broke out! We are right in the middle of the muddle here.

True, but I have to say that fear of war is less of a reason to come to Vancouver that the possibility of a much more fulfilling life there than here!

I guess we feel different because I have lived in Vancouver and you just visted and its the other way around for me you live in Switzerland and I visted there.

Yes, maybe. Although I had visited Switzerland many times before I lived here and my opinion of the place hasn't changed in years. I just don't think it suits me - but it may well suit you.

Also, my wife, who is in Vancouver at the moment, used to live there for a long time, so I have a bit of 'inside knowledge' about the place. And it felt really good being therre - if that means anything.

I've been to both places. I love Switzerland, especially Lucern. But as far as being neutral, that could easily change with circumstance. IF there is ever a war in Europe again, I don't think that neutral status will hold much weight.

I would rather be in a more secluded location such as BC during a hot war.
