Any other fellow Canadians hooked on Corrie? I used to hate the show when I was younger and my mom would watch it everyday, then suddenly I watched a few episodes during a good part of the storyline and it had me hooked. I like the fact that they all look like ordinary people not the typical glammed up actors.

The worst part is that Canada is way behind in the story. When you look at the ITV site about Corrie there are people in the story who haven't even appeared yet. The Aussies are even further behind than Canada is though, I've never known the reason for this lag between countries.

So far I know rideough and I watch it everyday, hell rideough said his day isn't complete until he hears the Corrie theme song, if he misses it he just doesn't feel the same.

What do you guys think about it?

I tape the weekend omnibus edition for a friend that moved to Miami... can't say that I watch it though.

The lag has to do with when the show gets licensed in the country in which it is being broadcast. If Canada had started licensing the show when it first went to air in the UK they would likely broadcast day and date (ie at the same time) as the UK broadcasts.

However, they likely started to license the series only after it had had some success in the UK (ie a good year or two of production). They would start running the series from the start rather than in mid-stream which would put them a year or two behind the UK in storyline.
