I am stunned by some of these names. Talk about scarring your kids for the rest of their lives. I think Jason Lee and Bob Geldorf (He must have been on a herion binge when he named his daughter. It sounds like a strippers name) take the cake.

You know celebrities aren't the only ones though. I am a teacher and used to substitute teach, which means I met a lot of kids. My list of favorite names:

Y'mUnique (I'm unique)
Mister
Prince
Mercedes and Benz (Sister and Brother)

I am not even going to get started on the "authentic African names". Most kids I have had transfer from Africa have normal names.

I honestly think people just look at their surroundings and pick a name. I am waiting for Cloud, Hydrant, Shelf, Couch, Cat, Magnet,... CRAZY

My brother went to a boarding school in Swaziland, and some kids there would have wierd english words for names, like Typewriter.

This one has always cracked me up... Fifi is a pornstar name - or a stripper... Fifi is not somoene who is destined to become an engineer or a doctor...

I can't beleive that Bruce Willis and Demi Moore's children aren't on the list

I agree Bernadette. When I was in junior high, I had a perm that burned my hair. I had to get it chopped off to my ears and I looked like a poodle. My nick name was Fifi the Chien for the next couple of years. It was very traumatic!! But all is well now.

This is a little of topic, but not really. Didn't a couple a while ago offer to name their baby after a company for advertising to the highest company bidder. I might be remembering wrong, but that is too wacky of an idea for my mind to create. Could you imagine naming your kid Pepsi, Sony, Toyota, or Keebler? Wait, maybe Paltrow is advertising Apple computers...hmmmm
