My features might misrepresent my being. Nonetheless, I will say what I mean: in echoes. |
Sleep=pleasure
|
true ...I'm going to sleep since it's already tomorrow.
|
No no no no it's today.
Morning sunshine! |
it's early. today will be a good day I hope!
|
It's cloudy.
|
sunny and 28 degrees F
We have less than 200 posts 'till 13000 |
Heyoooooooo
|
Nice echo.
|
The first song I ever heard by Atmosphere, and also my absolute favorite..... |
He's got nice towels so I hear.
|
Nice towels and tile.
|
Nice towels. I find it's quite subjective. Sometimes people like towels that I can't stand. For instance: bath sheets. I feel lost in them. I'd rather use a small hand towel than a bath sheet.
|
Some people like them dried out on the clothes-line..
a bit stiff and scratchy....smelling like the out-of-doors... others like them softened and scented by chemicals and dried inside an appliance. |
Still others prefer to leave them wadded in piles until mold devours their pristine form.
|
And still others like to air dry.
|
ahhh, a Santa Ana body drier sounds so soothing.
|
although it's a little chilly for that this morning... and I thought winter was over. It's 66 right now and supposed to be 58 tonight!
|
28 F
I might have to have another tooth pulled. |

Wish I had a pilots license...sounds like a good day to fly.
|
Or a good day to sit in an office for 10 hours....

I will be in the dentist chair....
Wanna trade? |
I'm going to the dentist tomorrow :) I don't mind. They have all sorts of goodies for the pain. There's no nitrous oxide at work. :(
|
I don't need no stinkin pain killers, when the dentist starts drilling I just think of chirping birdies and flowers :) ...not. ring, tell them your body chemistry needs more than the average dose, that's what I always do; he comes near me, I cringe, he gives me more.
It's mid 50F'ish here today, creeping a tad higher tomorrow, will dip to 40F or a degree or two lower both nights, then 65F Wed, 72F Thurs., clear all week. Looks like I'll be putting more miles on my non-daily driving, nice-day-fun car. |
I want to get in the car and drive...drive drive drive...
right now....to my spidy. |
In my frustration with the moths flying around in my house, I hung some poison bug strips. But I sure hope this does not adversely effect my spidies.
|
They'll be okay.
|
Get in the car and drive!
|
Sleep escaped me last night.
|
Sleep my beauties...sleep.
My Bussard is almost finished.... then I'm outta here. http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...gy/ramjet2.gif |
ring,
That looks like it will be a fun ride. But if you really want to get anywhere other than around the block in the immediate neighborhood, you'll either have to move a LOT LOT faster than the speed of light, or find some way of getting from "here" to "there" without travelling thru the space between here and there. So I've been working on this multi-inter-universal travel widget and I'm getting closer to a working solution each day. I figure if I get half way to the solution each day, then I only have half the way to go the next day. Since we were just talking about bugs, I'm happy to report that it has to do with worms ...actually wormholes. Some mundane points about this concept might interest even the casual space traveller: empty space, when examined with quantum theory on a sufficiently small distance scale, is not empty at all. Even at nuclear dimensions (10-13 cm) empty space is filled with particle-antiparticle pairs that are continually flashing into a brief existence, bankrolled on the credit of borrowed mass-energy, only to wink out of existence again as the law of conservation of energy reasserts itself. Didn't Al Gore invent the law of conservation of energy?...Wink Wink. If the length-scale is contracted to a size appropriate to quantum gravity (10-33 cm) this quantum fireworks intensifies to a "quantum foam" of violent fluctuations in the topology and geometry of space itself. Some of you may be familiar with the foam pit at your local club, but this foam is different. Quantum black holes form and vanish in a span of time of 10-23 seconds; highly curved (doesn't that sound sexy?) and convoluted regions of space in any physically allowed configuration have a similarly brief existence. In this environment Morris, Thorne, and Yurtsever speculate, it may be possible for a civilization considerably more advanced than ours, but not necassarily any smarter than most of the members of this "The Longest Thread", by "pulling a wormhole out of the quantum foam and enlarging it to classical size" to create a connection between two nearby points in space. This would use the well-known quantum mechanical process called "tunneling", a jump from one allowed energy state to another across a barrier of intermediate states that are forbidden by energy conservation. Have a nice trip. |
Hey Nick...
That post would've been very helpful in the longevity of this, the self-professed longest thread, if you'd done one word per post on that last one. |
ahhh, you are correct again, jewels. I'll have to make up for the lost space.
|
yes, you absolutely must :D
|
Gray-holes are easier to navigate than even the smallest singularities.
Think of it in a somewhat political vein... It will be my bi-partisan ship. |
In that case, I'll vote for you. May I make a contribution to your election campaign? Seeing how I gave myself this stupid name "BadNick" I might be particularly suitable for the Vice Secretary position in your cabinet ...or closet, if you prefer.
How many politicians can you fit on a bi-partisan ship? |
I need my cabinet minister.....to minister...something..
before I can think about that... http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...y/house015.jpg |
Tee hee we could play "name that bottle" !
|
or "spin that bottle": the pointee selects any bottle, takes a sip, spins that bottle, kisses the next pointee etc.
|
What is in that pretty bottle on the middle shelf...all the
way to the right? It looks like it hasn't been opened yet. |
I see some Kahlua...
|
i'm not even reading waht I type! it's all gibberish.
|
Gibbous....ness.
|
I have missed adventures and fun on this thread by sleeping and attending courses. How dare I?
Perhaps we could consult the starts. |
starts? i suggest a word battle. post the a word you can think of and then the next person has to post a crazier or extreme word that relates to it. (like: Cat, then Lion.)
i start with: Car. |
Caravan
|
camel
...I fear we will turn into the word association thread. Think? |
I struggle to wrap my mind around what ever could be a crazier or extreme camel......
Camel Straights? |

gaga googoo was my first language. It's a relatively obscure language that is only spoken in a remote valley in the Carpathian Mountains of Eastern Hungary. As I got older, I started sucking blood and talking less, especially during times of full moon. Now I also speak half decent English, or more accurately an American version of it. Some Gibberese have a pleasant flavor.

dada
|
I haven't even decided if I am going to "do" my
taxes. Sexat. Call me "dada" if you wish to. I thought that was a genre. (What was the nature of this game?) 1-2x8=-5-3 |
We need higher walls in our fort.
|
I did do my taxes last night ...or did they do do me? I do have thousands due which left dew in my eyes.
THE WORLD'S LONGEST TAX CODE Next time you feel like complaining about filing your taxes due to all the rules and regulations take heart knowing that it could be worse, that is unless you already live in the UK. It wasn't so bad in late 2006 in the UK as their tax code fell short of being the world's longest with India holding the record at some 9,000 pages but with the recent addition of another 1,600 pages this brought the UK's tax code to just shy of 10,000 pages and all the glory and recognition of having the world's longest tax code. |
|
Hehe. I love Snoopy.
|
that's a good one, ring. And it does give me some ideas.
I guess if you can't beat them, at least laugh at them. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...3/irsagent.gif http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...xdeduction.gif http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...3/tackstax.gif http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...axloophole.gif |

Of course it doesn't. My brain farts aren't audible or they might threaten. |
The donut guys are off duty...fear not!

|
Whoo hoo!!!!

Allow me to be
your hairy human blanket. I really want to... |
Lustrous golden in the sunlight.

my cactus seems to like it's new house. I'm going to have to get him another friend. hopefully something that can grow like a tree.
|
An infant cactus...starting them from seed is enjoyable..
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...untitled-2.jpg |
Is that ^ a baby cactus or a succulent? ...or would that be the same thing?
Now that my tax filing is "done" I need a drink. So what was that bottle in ring's cabinet that everybody just blew off and never identified? The middle shelf, right side, unopened? I googled and can't find what it is. http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...y/house015.jpg |
congrats on the completion of the taxing business.
Maybe GG could help us identify the wee cactus/succulent babe... I started some cactus from seed....some developed spines early on, others took longer for them to appear. That bottle would make an attractive flower vase..Yes? |
Quote:
ahhhh, another good reason to empty it. The only dilemna is, what kind of flowers to put in this vase. I love violets ...today they are my favorite flower. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...et_bouquet.gif http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...bunch3_322.jpg |
Violets are so encouraging..an early beauty of the season....have you seen the one called 'spreckles?'
it is a pale lavender with darker purple specks.. When I can afford to by cut flowers..I usually pick Alstromeria... so many colors..I love their structure..and they can last for weeks. http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...ia_D2N4781.jpg |
Both great choices. I'm a lily freak, I think :D Some assorted beauties here.

|
13000 soon....time to send out invitations to the bash.
|
hehe good comic, Jewels.
I've got to remember to do a RAOK every now and again. Random Acts Of Kindness |
That is a cute little mouse up there, I think it's a field mouse. Reminds me very much of two cute little mice my daughter had as pets when she was younger and still living at home. One was a beautiful shiney silver gray, the other a bright reddish brown ...not your everday kind of mice.
I am 100% sure I would love a job in a flower shop. I can't afford to do it now, but I would love doing this when I "retire". A little flower shop near my house has a tad offbeat/unusual style with arrangements and every time I give one as a present, everyone always comments how beautiful and unusual it is. I think they must have used some of those Alstromeria ring posted since that looks so familiar, though I never heard that name; of course I love lilies of all sorts and even have some growing in my yard. I'll try to get in a few RAOK today even if it doesn't effect my stock portfolio ...though I can see it could. |
http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n...602_143524.jpg
my cactus looks like the small one. my other is not really a pin cactus. more like a plant with really thick leaves. |
does it look like this?....this is a jade plant...a succulent.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...atringy/16.jpg |
almost. it's very close but mine is not the type to look like a tree. it follows the ground when it grows.
and the leaves are even thicker. green on top. red on the bottom. |
That might be a type of sedum...post a pic of if you can.
is the red on the underside of each leaf...or are the bottom leaves red? |
"succulent" ...that word makes me want to eat those things.
|
underneath each leaves. O will post a picture in a few min. i have to find my camera and cable. ha!
|
Tora coniglio....has retuned.....that is a very good thing.
|
Remember the dog?
The horse, immobile in the ditch? What is a buddy? Maybe I felt me; Maybe, once upon a time Imagining things. Maybe I felt me; Maybe, once upon a time Imagining things. Maybe I felt me; Maybe, once upon a time Imagining things. |
well i can't find my cable. fuck.
|
Maybe I felt me;
Maybe, once upon a time Imagining things. Maybe I posted too many times in a row. Maybe I didn't. |
you did. now stop it!
|
Oooh MOAB... I like it when you get so demanding. :p
|
that's right. now get my a SandWich.
|
...and then bring me a few homemade breakfast burritos and a mug of coffee.
