Final Fantasy Origins
The original Final Fantasy for NES and a Final Fantasy 2 (Jap) never before released in the US, recently came out on PS1. For all you FF fans, the original is back. It's been redone very well, with new graphics and a special feature called collections. Which shows you the monsters you've beaten and some of their weaknesses. The only thing added that makes the game a whole lot easier than the original is a "memo" feature which is a temporary save that you can do anywhere.... makes the game kind-of simple IMO. But besides that it's Final Fantasy, and it's back.

Juan, lemme tell you, I'mma pretty big FF fan. To be honest FF2 the one on this CD suck, IMO. There are no levels. The way you get better at something is using it. ie, sword (skill) goes up the more you use your sword. Shield skill the more you get an autoblock from the character. The ONLY way for your HP to go up is to have it get pretty low while fighting, risking DEATH of your character. I personally didn't the way things are presented in the game... guess why that system was used once and never again.

I was going to post on this when TFP died.
the game is really, really good and worth $30 - - - if you like old school rpgs. if you don't like old rpgs and 8-16 bit graphics, then stay away. I have been thrilled with it, and instead of dumbing down the game they added an option..... play FF the original (hard way) or the 'easier' way. on easier mode it is supposedly just easier to level and you can level up to 99 instead of fifty and items and magic are MUCH cheaper. i'm at the last dungeon of FF normal mode and have max gold...... it got HARD at one point, but hasn't been too tough since. FF2 i've heard s u c k s, but i can't say so myself. the system looks kida....... terrible...... but i have to try it first. looks kinda Saga Frontier'ish. |

I love FF, Dragon Warrior, Crono, and just about any rpg for any system. I own or have played all of the FF series. My ex wife destroyed these when she divorced me, so now i'm starting over, almost have all of them again
