You know if you're a gaming addict ...

...if you own the same game title on more than one platform (PC, 360, PS2/3...)
...if you've ever missed a meal because you played too much
...if your dog/cat has ever missed a meal because you played too much
...if a houseplant has ever died because you played too much
...if you've ever missed a social engagement because you played too much
...if you've ever broken up with someone and your gaming habit was mentioned by her/him
...if turning on the console/PC is the first thing you do when you get home
...if your PC start menu has only MS Word, a game title and calculator
...if you've ever downloaded screencaps of an anticipated upcoming game
...if your PC desktop image is gaming-related
...if you've ever become infatuated with a CG character
...if your pothead friends said you had a serious problem
...if a game cutscene ever made you shed a tear
...if you feel your life is over because a game release date gets pushed back
...if you're not agoraphobic yet you don't know any of your neighbors
...if you contribute to forum threads about gaming

please feel free to add

Haha, daymn! :-p

How about... if your XBL nick gets lost in the system and you scream at the poor MS rep on the other end of the line for nearly 30 minutes.

I know... it sounds mean, but I was PISSED! Xepherys died when I upgraded my account to work on the 360. They couldn't tell me why, and they couldn't recover it. I've done my fair share of DB work... it can't be THAT hard. Now I'm XephOne. I've learned to live with it, but I was in therapy for months. Okay, that last part isn't true...

.. if you've ever left food in the microwave for 30 minutes, because you put it in but forgot to take it out

.. if, after more than 15 hours, you think one more hour will solve the problem / beat the boss / get the loot you wanted 15 hours ago

realized another as I was cleaning out my apartment in preparation for a move:

... if you've ever had one (or more) maps of virtual places on your wall (including but not limited to Norrath, Azeroth, Outland, Vvardenfall or Cyrodiil) and / or you can envision what the map looks like

(I had Norrath AND Cyrodiil on my wall.. oy vey)

...if you spend the ENTIRE weekend gaming, staying up until 8 in the morning on one occasion, and getting little more than 3 hours of sleep.

Such is the life of nwlinkvxd. He is playing WoW as I type.

Welcome Darish

and the sad thing is I actually did that Longbough, started customising my WoW UI lost track of time next thing I know it was late I was tired and couldn't be bothered fixing the skirt I had to wear the next day (yes I have multiple uniforms but with my work well ... it's messy)

and another one inspired by a friend of mine

...if you place a personal add and specify the alliance/ horde loyalties of your hopeful partner

Hyacinthe, our nurses here in the states don't really wear uniforms anymore.
*sigh*
I'm a doctor and I have to wear a labcoat.
I used to work in the UK and thought the nurse uniforms were neat. I suppose it's the same in Australia, no?
But I do like a girl in uniform - especially if it includes a skirt!
