Hmm, interesting. Wonder what the follow-up to this will be. WoD is their bread-n-butter. This would, in theory, be the end of it. Of course there is the theory that something different/better/worse will arise from the Final Night but what?

Press release says "A new World of Darkness begins August 2004". So, there'll definitely be a replacement.

Me, I won't hold my breath to see if it's any good.

But, as for WoD being White Wolf's bread and butter -- they've branched out considerably, and, last I looked, their Swords and Sorcery addons for d20 were doing a pretty good business. But, regardless, they're going to replace it with something. You can just hope that it's something good, and not an obvious cash grab.

White wolf does good work with Swords and Sorcery. Plus Dark Ages and Exalted will continue to be realeased. I'm just curious what the new "WoD" will be like..
