Old Systems, New TVs

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but...

I am having trouble playing older systems like nes, snes, n64 on my new RCA TV. XBox and PS2 work fine though. The games actually work, but every so many seconds the screen will blink and give me a "unusable signal" message. It usually does this when a channel goes bad and gets snowy; instead of showing the snow it does this. It only lasts a split second, but it gets really annoying. If someone could tell me why it does this or give me a solution it would be appreciated. Some good ol' games I'm missing out on for now.

That's odd...

What kind of connectors are you using? Coaxial or A/V cables?

Some televisions, especially RCA's don't handle the signals correctly and loose picture. RCA's tend to have crappy tuners to begin with. Zenith tends to have the same problems but for different reasons.

Try it on another brand of TV and see if that works. My RCA was doing the same thing but my Phillips tv works perfect on the old consoles and I mean old - like Atari 2600, Pong and Intellivision as well as the Genesis and NES.
