I saw a documentary on VH1 about this. The guy was obsessed. It was one of those "Real Life" shows. Maybe it was MTV. But the guy was DAMN good at the game, he put money down on his games every time. We're talking THOUSANDS of dollars at a time. He made like 5 grand on one game at one point. Some other guys on the show were making 10 grand per game. The game hit the ball really hard if that helps any He just seemed to nail the track ball with the bottom of his palm.

be a drunk and spend all your time and money in bars, just like every other Golden Tee master i know.

i't's all in the wrist, slam that ball really hard, but watch your thumbs.

I usually only play a game or two a week, and I'm pretty good at hitting the longball. It's the short game that usually gets me.

I don't play enough to be called a master, but, I can hold my own. My technique is to just use my thumbs. I feel that I get better control that way. Also, I rarely take a backswing, unless I want to cut the ball, or get english when hitting the greens.

you only use your thumb even when you're on the tee??

i find the easiest way to hit a straight shot is to lean your whole body forward into the shot, not just using your palm. this gives me the most control.

the part i hate is the putting.. i stink at putting and reading the break.

This is the best game ever.

A bunch of us have a running tournament here at work. My friend just happened to have a green suit jacket, so that is our "masters jacket". Having a pub right beside your work that has a golden tee machine is a godsend.

anyways, enough of my ramblings. tips. I would say focus on your short game, and be willing to take risks. Go for shortcuts. dont just always play it safe. I personally never use thumbs, even when putting. I just find I have a better touch when using my palm. But whatever technique works best for you, i say go for it. Always go for the big shots is my advice. Take chances and try and get to the green as quickly as possible.
