JO is the death of Battlefield Vietnam

HI, new poster here, thought i would drop this in and see what happens.

I bought BF:V when it came out, played the crap out of it. THEN Joint Operations came out.. 150 multiplayer games, HUGE maps yada yada....

Last week i tried to play BF:V again, with all the latest patches and addon pack and you know what? IT SUCKS compared to Joint operations.

I think JO is the best, best yet, online multiplayert game to come along and will be hard to beat.

HOOOOooooowl at ya later.

I've heard it's ok, but it has some MAJOR flaws that seriously detract from the gameplay.

My friends said that you can snipe someone with a regular rifle from hundreds of yards away because the bullets don't stray like a normal.....weapon. They go in a straight line, so theoretically you could snipe someone from across the level if you could see them.

Also, the vehicles suck (apparently). I've heard a person with a rocket launcher can take them out easily instead of you having to go to work on them like in BF. That sucks! Vehicles should be nice and sturdy......not being blow up in two seconds.

I've heard to stick with BF:Vietnam also

Your friends are on crack. I've played the game and no way you can "snipe" from hundreds of yards away with an assault rifle. Also, the heaviest vehicle in the game happens to be an APC, and it takes 2 rockets to destroy it.

I hate saying a game "sucks," but JO sucks. I played it and was cringing at the low quality of every aspect of the game. It reeks of a game built by 5 teenagers in a basement one summer. The vehicles look cool, but every other graphical aspect sucks. The guns are nice, but again, the graphics simply suck compared to BF: Vietnam. 150-players is a nice feature, but BF: Vietnam supports 64 players which is hectic enough. I simply like the feel of Vietnam more than JO. JO feels like playing the alpha of a game that has been in development for two weeks.

I'll stick to BF: Vietnam.

I bought BF:v when i came out, and havn't played it since unless my friends force me. I suppose i like the game, i just never feel like playing it. I'm pretty openminded when someone says a game is better than vietnam.

JO was fun for awhile but when I compared it straight up to BF:V it really was lacking. The day/night cycles are cool and I've seen matches without time limits set go on for days, but in the end the lag and warping was unbelievable and annoying as shit.

The flight model in JO is just like the driving model except in another dimension (or two). A helo is like a flying truck and not much fun to fly.

I love JO - Hate BF:V

BF:V comes across (to me) as to arcadey.

JO is not arcadey at all. It still a little buggy but most of the lag issue etc have been sorted and its now a very enjoyable game.

The vehicles do suck but I never use them (other than a quick trip across a map in a jeep). As for sniping with a normal rifle? Not a chance.

Well, i use a regular weapon, and i cannot snipe guys from distance.. and the vehicles don't really blow up that easy, i mean a LAW rocket into a front of a jeep, YA its gonna blow up, but APCS take more then 3 rockets to take down, HELO's take more then 3 stingers most times as well.

MAN! I dont get what version your playing, BF:V graphics blow chunks compared to JO at high detail, and how many 64 player servers are there, one, two maybe.. and if you want to play on them , you wait and wait to get on.. BAH,, JO ROCKS

wow, again, you conx must suck, i have yet to lag and jump and warp in a game since i got it. AND I love the helo flying in JO, MUCH better then BF:V

only my humble opinion though... and i can not wait until the addon for JO comes out NOV. 16th. Adds tanks, 26 more maps, dirt bikes yada yada yada.
