Loading CD-R through ps2

Does anyone know of a way to load CD-r's using a ps2. Ive heard of some methods, but can it be done without modding hardware. I'm using the new slim ps2.

There isn't a way without modding it.

Follow the instructions by Liam1080
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/117041

Then you need to buy the swapmagic disks 3.0 (DVD version and CD version)
http://www.swapmagic3.com/

Insert your swapmagic disk (Cd version), wait for it to load, swap in cd-r, hit circle or x on controller pad, and your cd-r should boot up.

3 things.

1: Why did you post twice? Once will usually get an answer. Twice will get people annoyed.

2: What do you have against question marks?

3: What's with the sudden influx of people trying to use copied/downloaded games on consoles? That's like the third post in as many days. Weird. Generally, that kind of talk is frowned upon here.

Adog: I don't think it is anger as much as annoyance.

MooseMan: I have noticed the same thing.. It seems it used to be that these threads were rare, but lately I think I have seen 3 or more dealing with almost the same thing. Either backing up the information or how to use the backup instead.

Guit84: as far as asking the question twice. Try not to do that in the future. If you posted once and you don't think you have gotten a response and you believe your thread has been buried just comment in that thread to push it back to the top. However, if you have made two posts in the thread and still no response, more than likely everyone has read it but has no input so just decided to keep quiet.

Exactly. I try to keep my posts to a relatively high standard, and generally that's what's expected on the TFP. That's why we like it.

Asking for Warez or serial codes is expressly forbidden, and posts asking how to "back up" PS2 CDs or, in this case, using a Playstation to play a [downloaded or copied] game burned on a CD-R probably cross that line. There are plenty of places you can go on the internet to get such information. The TFP is not one of them. Thank you for your consideration.

Im sorry i posted twice. It was actually an accident due to my computer fucking up. It froze up when i hit submit and i didn't think it posted so i did it again before checking. (sorry for not checking). I didn't think anyone would answer me faster that way. And im really not looking to play burned ps2 or ps1 games but instead to use other homemade sofware on the ps2
