Rare Find from Ultra games.

I'm curious to findout what some of ya think. Yesterday I came across a great release from the Ultra Games.

Story

An armed fortress deep in South Africa, Outer Heaven, is growing into a major threat. FOX-HOUND sent in their best man "Gray Fox" to infiltrate and get information. However, he was captured by the enemy and was only able to send one message; "Metal Gear..." Metal Gear is a nuclear walking tank, and it was assumed that Gray Fox meant that a Metal Gear model, the ultimate weapon, in being housed inside of Outer Heaven. A prototype was being made by a scientist whom, along with his daughter, was kidnapped by the Outer Heaven forces.

To a great surprise, FOX-HOUND Commander Big Boss sends in rookie Solid Snake as Operation Intrude N313. Snake sneaks into Outer Heaven and must come into contact with Gray Fox, locate, and destroy Metal Gear. Still, Snake wonders why the hell he was sent in as there are many soldiers in FOX-HOUND that are far more experienced than him. Snake shrugs and looks for Gray Fox.

Thats right Metal Gear for the nes. But right now i'm sure your thinking, Why is this nut talking about a game you can find in any game store in the discount bin. But the diffrence is, This copy I have is "NEW". Thats right, NEW Never opened and still in the factory shrink wrap.

So i just wanted to share that with you game fans and see what ya'll think. Ever get finds like this anymore?
What do things like go for in a collectors market?
Great storys of gameing past?

Feel free to comment, share, have fun.

Junkie

A buddy of mine, total gaming nut, works at a gamestop no less, has a new Nintendo. His mom got it for him a real long time ago but figured it would demolish his acedemic abilities so it was just hidden away for summer, but forgot about it and now he's got it.

back in 2001 I picked up a brand new copy of Final Fantasy. Box was pretty banged up, but it was still in the shrink wrap.

Got to love the old games, I like busting out the old ones every once in a while and just playing the hell out of them (esp when your ass is broke)

there's a store here in NYC where you can still buy Atari 2600 games, new in box...

OK, say you want to buy a PlayStation. Easy enough, just walk to your corner K-Mart or EBX, put down the money, pick up the box. But what if you, being just plain odd, or asleep for the last seven years, want a Genesis or SNES. Even more, what if you, being just REALLY weird, or asleep for the last fifteen, need an Atari 2600 or Intellivision. This is where Multimedia 1.0 comes in. I don't know whether their marquee simply hasn't been changed in that long, or whether it's intended to create the effect, but it proudly lists all of these obscure systems most of us don't *know*, much less remember: Atari 2600, ColecoVision, the TurboGrafx 16. And the thing is, they are actually sold here, along with the games! Otherwise, the inventory is fairly generic, and generally overpriced, but just for those ancient relics alone, the place deserves mention. - MK
