Money

If we spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs.

If we purchase a computer it will go to India.

If we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala.

If we purchase a good car it will go to Japan.

If we purchase useless crap it will go to Taiwan ...

...and none of it will help the American economy.

The only way to keep that money here at home is to buy prostitutes, weed, beer, and tattoos, since these are the only products still produced in the USA.

is this a done deal?

And at any rate, a beer drinker would group this so-called king of beer in the same category as Corona... As "near beers". Simply alcoholized slightly hopped corn drinks.

Not yet I believe.

I even heard they started a petition and the unions are talking to some lawyers to stop it.

also: I hate near beers. Good thing we've got plenty of selection of proper ones

and another: I didn't even realise you make beer out of corn in the US.

I think that corn is in everything. gasoline, candy, hamburger patties... you name it. And now with the flooding in Iowa, everything will become more expensive.

In the US, I suppose it could. Not around here though.

Nobody would even come up with the idea of cornbread, or corn-beer.

It won't matter. As CEO, August Busch IV is a disaster of George Bush proportions. There's little AB can do at this point to stop the buyout. Patriotic Ammurkins who are threatening to defect to Miller products don't seem to know that Miller has been South African-owned since 2002...

It's worse than that--many US beers are made with rice too. It's what gives Budweiser that tip-of-the-tongue bite that mainstream US beer drinkers seem for some reason to like. When US beer is marketed as "crisp", that's what they're talking about: fermented rice sugars.

I say sell all the motherfuckers to overseas people who know what real beer is.
