And now for some good, clean Olympics humour:

A tourist (you could tell he was a tourist, because he had lots of pins and a camera) was walking around Athens when he saw an athlete (you could tell he was an athlete because he was carrying a really long pole).
The tourist said to the athlete, "Hello! Are you a pole vaulter?"
To which the athlete replied, "No, I'm a German, but how did you know my name was Volta?"

*GROOOOAAAAAN*

I'm sorry but I didn't get it... there something with 'vaulter' and 'volta' as I understand it, but why German ??? Please enlighten me ...

Are you a Pole vaulter. A Pole is what you call someone from Poland.

Also, the guy's name is actually Walter, not Volta. In German, w is pronouced as a v. Valteh or Voltah would be another way to pronounce the name. But I have to say, that is a bad joke!
