Bug Zapper re:flies/wasps for inside and outside?

I've got flies around my bbq and inside the house because of my constant opening the sliding door. Our bbq also happens, unfortunately, to be in our dog run. So, the combination is not good.

Also, in the pool, we've got tons of wasps. I mean, all over the surface of the pool. I'm scared to have the kids swim right now.

What does anybody use or suggest? I dont want to use pesticides inside the house. Thanks in advance.

Bug zappers generally only zap the insects that are good - including the ones that eat the insects you're trying to get rid of.

Wasps (and other bugs) can be trapped - it's a special trap involving an inverted funnel inside a glass jar. You put sugar water inside it, and when the wasp flies in to eat, it can't get back out, falls in the water, and drowns. They're available from gardening stores/catalogs.
