How do you say "Cheers" in Latvian?
What is a common Latvian toast?
Mrs. Clavus is needs to know. She is the Secret Santa for a Latvian woman at work, and is giving her a mug or a pilsner glass or a keg or something. Hell, I don't know what she's giving her, but she asked me this question and I figured SOMEONE on TFP would know the answer. |

Thank you.

Coming from a latvian heritage, the equivalent to "cheers" in latvian is Sveiks, which when translated literally means hello; however it is interchangable with cheers.
Uz veselibu works fine though, it basically means "to your health", and when i was visiting in latvia it was often said before we had a drink. |
