				Create mp3 clip from movie?

Hey all, I am hoping someone can tell me how to capture a bit of sound and create a file from a movie. Specifically, I need an MP3 of Ewan McGregor singing "The Hills are Alive" from Moulin Rouge.

OR If anyone knows where to find it already done, even better. I've got no flippin' idea. Thanks much.

Easy Solution: Have you looked for the sound track of the movie? It may be on there.

Do it Youself solution: Do you have a microphone on your PC? If so, I recommend downloading this program called CdEx http://sourceforge.net/projects/cdexos You can use it to rip cds and save them as mp3s, and record audio and save it in various formats, such as wav and mp3. Just download and install the program. Run it, then go to Tools, and choose the option "Record from Analog Input". From there, choose where to save the recording, it's name and the format (for mp3, choose Lame MP3 Encoder), hit record to start, and stop to save it. Your done! ![]()

Do you have a sound card? If so, look on your manufacturer's website for free recording software. It simply records whatever audio is playing on your computer at the time. My desktop's sound card came bundled with it. Then use it as essen said--it will record into a .wav file and you'll have to convert it.

Poke around the 'net and I'm pretty sure you'd have an easy time finding a recording program.
