Installing glass block window

Anyone ever done this before? How hard is it going to be? Anything I should know?

oh, like those small square blocks that are so thick you can't see through? Man, I would definately add that to my dream home- and lots of it! I don't know how to go about doing it, but online there is a plethera of tips, I am sure!

I've been looking for info on this too. It looks like you just pretend like you're using bricks and mortar instead of glass but I'm just wondering how stable the area needs to be. I hate to not support the weight enough and have a glass block break 6 months down the road. Does it require special support underneath?

I recently installed some in our basement. It was incredibly easy, actually. And the blocks are serving as the base of support for a window air conditioner, so they're quite sturdy (though they didn't survive an errant swipe with a hammer).

Essentially, there are spacers that go between the glass bricks. Fill the remaining space with clear caulk or mortar. It's a really, really nice accent for a room.
