Need Help. Buying ChinUp Bar ONLINE

hey. yea so the subject gives you the basic jist of the whole situation. also, if the product description says that rubber caps are included, then would i be able to just use the caps and not use the brackets. would it be able to support me just with the tension created between the rubbercaps and the wall? i'm pretty sure it's do able specially if max weight is like 250 (im 170) and i think i've seen it done somewhere. I just want to make sure.

also. can you check this site and tell me if you think that the site is secure for a transaction? it looks kidna sketchy.

I have that same kind of chin-up bar. I tried to do it without the brackets and with just the rubber caps and it didnt work for me. It would slide down. Its not that big of a deal to put the caps on. It is very sturdy and I get a great workout.

thx for the reply. but the thing is that im bringing the bar to college, and any holes in the doorframe's jus gonna add up to more $$$$. i know ive seen one w/rubber caps or rubber ends of somesort that stayed without drilling brackets in. any ideas?

also, could you check this site to see if the buying process is secure? it looks sketchy.

You are taken to a secure page once you get to the credit card part.

As far as holes in the doorframe, fill them in with toothpaste the day before you check out. ;-)

The metal free standing chin up, dips, and push up work stations are ~$100. Do those everyday and forget the gym.

If you're going buying it for college don't waste your money. Odds are there is a free gym of some sorts with all the equipment you could need.
