Bah! It was going so well...
 

Wife and I went to dallas for a 4-day weekend. She does bellydancing on the side and she wanted to go to a conference, so I told her I'd go. I had some ideas on what I wanted to do, since having some quiet time in a hotel room can only lead to good things ;)

For the past 2 days, it's been great.

Well, she got a call a little while ago. It turns out a friend of a friend lost her room before coming into town, and she wants to stay with us. Well, we do have 2 beds (room was booked for wife and another dancer, but the other one bailed) but I don't feel comfortable leaving my laptop with any stranger, and we've been having a blast since we finally have some "alone time". I also like to sleep relatively unclad, and obviously that is going to change if we end up having a roommate for the next 2 days.

For those curious:
She probably is not hot
Wife is not into "sharing" even if she is
I don't like roommates, been there done that

That said, I initially told my wife ok, and now I'm regretting it >_<. I don't give a rat's ass if I'm the bad guy and get the blame for saying no, but then again I hang with our mutual friends (a couple in austin) and might be going camping with them later.

Soooo, WTF? Would you suck it up or say no?

Tell the missus how much you were looking forward to the alone time and all the fancy things you had planned but still allow the visitor.

Earn the bonus points now for use later on down the road!

Might be worth it to suck it up for two days if there's the potential for hard feelings in the future, but then again I'm one of those "Go with the flow" kinda people.

You already said ok. How pissed would you be if the roles were reversed and your wife said ok, then changed her mind?

Wouldn't bother me. Friend of friend doesn't have an answer yet. I don't sleep with steve, john or matt, so obviously what my wife thought would take precedence over them haha. I know my priorities LOL.

We're planning on going to a brazilian steakhouse tonight. I just looked up the menu and HOLY JESUS ok anyone can stay in our room if I get to eat there LOL. I'm easy to please and can be goaded into nearly anything if you know what I like haha....

On a side note, my wife is half italian and cooks like a goddess. She can see a dish and make it without even consulting a recipe. That undoubtedly played a role somewhere along our courtship :lol:

What 4-day belly dance conference was in Dallas?

Isis had her annual conference. I saw Aziza, Zoe Jakes, Rachel Brice and many others. My wife danced in the pro group even though it's just a hobby. She was surprised, I wasn't ;)

I'm not big into this stuff, but hot chicks shaking their stuff always works for me, and being around and getting to meet world famous bellydancers is pretty cool.
