stoved my hand/fist. How long will it take to heal?

i think i stoved it anyways, stupid girl...no i didnt hit her, i ended up punching a very hard inanimate object as hard as i could, because of her(long story, im young stupid and have a temper, etc etc) . basically, how long till it heals?, i can still bend my fingers, and wrist, only hurts when i put direct pressure on it, close my fist, or bend my wrist, also, pulling my fingers back hurts a lot. its red on the knuckles, and a bit on my wrist, and its getting puffy. i've been holding ice on it. Any advice on what to do? about my hand that is. TIA for any advice!

Advice? Relax and don't punch "very hard inanimate objects".

i donīt know what īstovedī means, but i once broke my hand in a fight, and it took about a month to heal.
i punched straight into a guys ear, i floored him, but broke my middle knuckle. my left hand is still mishapen.

but it also pretty much ruined a music career... so temper control, blah blah blah...

if you havenīt seen a doctor yet, you should. at least to make certain that you havenīt broken anything.
good luck.

If you are interested in seeing a doctor, it may be best to see a sports medicine doctor who is used to treating boxers. Boxers infamously break or injure finders and wrists. Crummy karate guys also do that same. Doctors in the know can most easily asses the long term affects of the injury.
"It's a long story," says I, and let him up.

I went swinging at a guy in a moving car a year ago and ended up breaking my knuckle off the bone. Took 1 month in a closed cast (fingers bent inside it) to heal. Needless to say, it was a great lesson in using my brain instead of my fists in the future

Sounds like a bad sprain, but something could be broken.

You need to see a doctor and have x-rays done. If something's broken, it might need to be casted or have a pin inserted. If nothing's broken, you may need a splint.
