Egg Whites ???

Has anyone ever tried the pasteurized liquid egg whites ??? I seen some at GNC and was just wondering how effective they are before I try it out. 26g Protein w/ 2g Carbs per cup doesn't sound too bad. Taken with creatine and eating heavy should help me put on the extra pounds Im looking for yes ??? Thanks.

All i eat are egg whites. Sometimes i will throw in the yoke. But alas i cook mine for breakfast. Might wanna get the carton's of egg whites instead of buying eggs. JUst read whats on the package. And Yes EGGS are great for protien. And good for U!

I'm not quite sure if you wanna eat it or drink it?

If you drink it with creatine i would make sure its really fresh.

i have been searching all over the place for the answer to this question

a normal egg bought from the grocery store....cooked how much protein.....

i have heard 20 grams but that sounds way to high considering a whole can of tuna fish which is 2.5 servings has 15g per serving coming out to like 40 per can....

I was curious myself, so i searched and found this..

Off of http://nbaf.com/nbaf/ap6pe.htm

Quote:
For comparison of the protein amount that the body can actually use; 3/4 to 1 cup of cooked soy beans provides 10G of protein; 5/8 cup of tuna provides 19 grams; 1/2 oz. of egg white provides 9 grams; 1 cup of skim milk 7 grams, and 3.5 Oz. of turkey 22 grams.
hope that helps!!

An egg has about 6 grams of protein per whole egg. Egg whites by themselves contain 3 grams and are better for you than the yolks because they don't contain any fat or cholesteral. I hard boil my eggs and eat 6 in the morning (removing the yolks) with my oatmeal. When buying eggs in bulk, they come out to be about 1 dollar per dozen.

*note: the reason eggs are such a good source of protein is because it is whey protein in them which is the best protein there is.

actually, whey is from milk. not eggs. eggs are such good proteins because they are complete proteins. they have all of the essential amino acids that we need. (essential amino acids are AA's that the human body cannot produce on its own, for those who didn't know.)

btw... whey appearantly is also a complete protein source as well... scroll down the link, there's a link to a protein comparison chart. looks like the only better source is egg.
