really deep pimples?

Going through middle school and high school I had alot of acne. Luckily it's almost all gone. Now I have another problem and haven't really heard anyone else mention it at all or found any online resources about it. I will get red marks/bumps on my face. They are about 1cm in diameter and protrudes out slightly. It feels uncomfortable and when I press it, it really hurts and feels like there is something inside of it, but really deep in. I have had afew which were smaller and was able to pop one of them and it was a pimple, but it was really deep. I wash my face at least twice a day and that has helped alot with my previous acne problem. Any ideas on how to prevent these annoying little critters? I don't think its something clogging my pores since its so deep. Could it be my diet?

Thanks,
Robert

I've had some of those before. I have no idea what they are, except maybe pores that began to clog deeper in than usual. I don't know how to treat them but I don't think your diet has anything to do with it.

I've always known them as 'blind' pimples, i might get one every few months (one was right in the middle of my back (wtf?)) killed me :S

Never really a problem for me though, and i can usually pop em after a day (need to release the preassure)

Hmm, well there is alot of research done on acne and its "partners in crime" if u will. In my opinion acne and the things you are talking about isnt really a result from your diet, but more a psychological/genetic thing...Stress is said to play a large part on this as well, so just try to enjoy life and just remeber its a part of growing up

You are describing what seems to be cystic acne... Why didn't anyone suggest going to a dermatologist? General rule of thumb... when in doubt, seek medical attention.

I get them too, but not as frequently as I used to (27 now, got them bad in HS and college).

It might be gross, but I have my wife help clean out my back pores (ewww, but the things you do for love) and was my back. Got some special face soap for acne, which helps.
