What should i get my gf for christmas?

What should i get my gf for christmas? We've been together for 2 months, but ive known her for 5 years...I have no clue how serious my gift should be (this is my first relationship)...were both about 18 years old...any ideas?

Shokan 12-16-2003 06:59 PM

what does she like?

tikki 12-16-2003 07:12 PM

Kate Spade purses always make a gal smile.

Why not just do a special work of art?

Think about the things she has admired when she's been with you. She'd probably really appreciate the fact that you noticed her desire for something. However, since you are both 18, I'll assume you don't have a lot of money to spend on gifts for each other, so I would say give her some personalized gift certificates, with you as the gift - you taking her to her favorite restaurant, you taking her for a picnic or a drive in the country, you cooking dinner for her or taking her to an amusement park, etc. - you get the idea. Make a "redeemable coupon book" and surprise her. That will be more remembered than anything you could shop for at this late date. :) Happy Christmas...

Depending on how serious it is, there are a variety of gifts you can give for little or no money. In the past, I've given roses, a home-made scarf (I learned how to knit just for that), chocolats, jewelry, mixtapes, and a computer. Obviously, some of those only work for certian people. Really, you need to base the gift on the person. Notice what they mention that they like, or go shopping with them and see what they spend extra time looking at. There is no one size fits all gift out there.

Think back to moments that you value and find something that can help bring back those memories for her. Key point - explain it to her when you give her the gift!

Okay, this isn't too romantic but I few years back I got my girl keyless entry for her car (wasn't for christmas, but a gift none the less). For some reason all of her friends loved the idea and they pass that on for suggestions to people who don't know what to get their girlfriends.
Its good for safety, and for ease...so it shows that you care, and that you understand that she is lazy.:p

I've got the gift issue to come as well...oh how i love this time of year...

Jewelry. lol. jk, kinda.....

I like the idea of the coupon book. I told my boyfriend that all I wanted for Christmas was a whole day with just me and him. No interruptions. I told him that if he was gonna do that, just plan it and don't tell me what's going on. Why don't you try the coupon thing, or just give her a whole day spent specifically for her. A trip to a spa for a massage and a manicure, a picnic lunch (depending on where you live), etc. Whatever she likes. Girls in general are not that hard to please, ya know! You've just gotta think like one for a minute! ;)

Didja ask for help? ;) I thought I gave you some decent ideas... maybe not... :-/

All you've gotta do is something that takes thought and effort. Not that difficult, you've just gotta be willing to do it.

A classic Christmas movie.

How about one of those Harry Potter Gryffindor scarf replicas? Most chicks I've met love the books and movies (heck, so do I), so odds are she's gonna love it.

I got my girl a gift certificate to her favorite clothing store, 2 cd's, some Iverson Reeboks, a Bath&Body Works gift set (soap, lotion, moisturizer) and I done a really awesome painting for her.

Nonononononono........ not unless you KNOW for a very distinct FACT that she's gonna like it.

What are her hobbies? Find something that'll match one, most , or all of them, and do that.

dragon2fire 12-24-2003 07:01 PM

sillygirl 12-24-2003 07:23 PM
