Best dust zappers?

I was looking at the ionic breeze but it's out of my price range. Are there any better cheaper alternatives?

according to the latest Consumer Reports, the Ionic breeze does not siginificantly remove dust from the air better than any HEPA filters out there.

save your money.

I just read somewhere, (sorry I can't remember) that if you turn your heat from auto to fan, the fan will be moving the air around your house more, and with the filter, will do a really good job of getting the dust out of the house, as long as you replace the filter often. I'll look for the article.

so far. nothing better than some good elbow grease of dusting on a regular basis.

I'd be interested in something that removed the dust as well as the average HEPA filter without requiring me to buy new filters all the time. HEPA filters aren't cheap, especially for room-capacity filters.
