Food science degree - masters needed?

I realize that it might be something to ask someone in the department at the college, but here goes.

I'm transfering to another college, going from computer engineering to food science. (After my last semester of engineering, no less. Bah) I'm not sure yet if I want to do my master's degree immediately after finishing my bachelor's degree. It might be a long shot, but is anyone aware of if it's important to get the food science masters?

Kind of like, engineering jobs you don't really need to, but say, psychology you should.
