Taxes

I just plain hate doing my taxes. Every stinking year I put it off and every year it's the same story. Up too late, can't find all the forms, receipts, banks statements and other TAX IMPORTANT documents. I think it's a good thing I don't really like to drink or I'd be slugging down a triple strength Margarita!

I mailed them last night at 10:45. I guess I was early this year relative to other years. Still pissed off about it though...ALTERNATIVE MINIMUM TAX SUCKAGE!

do you have to have them in if you are getting a rebate? or just if you owe them money.

Refund or not the feds must have a return or an extension app post marked by 4-15.

It varies from state to state, I imagine. Maryland, for example DOES NOT require an extension app if you are getting a refund.

Regardless, if you owe, it must be paid by 4-15, or penalties and interest are assessed (this is true for both Federal and Maryland).
