Hedonism?

Yoshi and I are considering a trip to either Hedonism II or Hedonism III in Jamaica later this year and wanted to see if any of our TFP buddies had any input? Has anyone ever been to this "adult playground" resort and can they tell us any of their tales from it?

Thanks!

I stayed next door to HedoII at the Grand Lido Negril. My wife and I walked through HedoII's grounds in the early afternoon, and the place looked completely dead; kind of like a frat house the morning after a party. Perhaps the evenings are wild; however, if I'm in the islands, I want to be out during the daytime.

WTF, i have never heard of this place. Interesting name for a place though. Do tell the details when you get back.

Here's an interesting link for you to read about one person's trip to Hedo II. Click here.

Just wanted to let you know that Hedo II is a great place to go for the couple that wants to get away to a place that you can push your sexual boundrys..

My wife and I have been going there once a year for 7 years now... it is a great place...

stgmngr, please tell us more. What have you done/seen, what did you find out couldn't be done, etc. I'm not looking for a Penthouse Forum letter, just information.

I just read the article from the above thread, and it sounds like a great place for mid-life age couples, but not for single, straight, younger adults.

I would have expected, just from the name Hedonism, that it would be like a group sex porn movie all day & night. Alas, it's just a swingers vacation spot.

I totally agree. I kept reading this story expecting something really good to happen, and it never really did.

What really confuses me is why people would pay to go there and then stay on the prude side...did you not know what you were getting into?

I am about as prudish as a person can get. Years back when I still did vacations, I went to Club Med with two friends. (It was Moorea, how many times am I goint to Tahiti) I had heard stories about what went on at Club Med, it wasn't my scene at all, I just wanted to spend some time on a beach, with my friends.

That's what i did. they'd go off to play Swap the Swimsuit and other random bits of silliness, I joined them for volleyball and other events...

I didn't go to Club Med expecting to get laid every five minutes, but one of my travelling companions, we didn't see a lot of after dark (so unless he slept on the beach, we could only assume that he was in the companion of a lady)

I wouldn't go back to Club Med if my life depended on it, but not because of all the debauchery that went on, I didn't like the summer camp atmosphere, and the group sing along at night... Get rid of that, and I'm back, it was paradise, didn't matter if others were walking around in the buff, i wasn't going to... (and I've been to nudist resorts, that's different)

I see what you're saying. But Club Med, I think, can be a lot of things to a lot of different people. (For one, kids go there.) I feel like it's pretty obvious, when looking into Hedonism, what it's about...so why go there unless you can take full advantage of it?

maleficent 08-23-2004 09:41 AM

Club med has family resorts and no children allowed resorts.. Moorea was child free...

You're right...but maybe I'm just off on my perceptions of Club Med - are the no-children ones generally regarded as "orgy camps," as I once read in a description of Hedonism?

all I'm saying is that I think a place like Hedonism has a certain, very specific reputation, and why go if you don't feel you fit into what they're offering?
