I'm going to be traveling to Flordia later this year.

Most of my time will be at Walt Disney World, however I will be going to Universal Orlando for a day. While I've been to Universal Studios in Califonia, I've never been to Universal Orlando.

Why question is, should I go to Universal Studios or Island of Adventure? Roller coasters aren't an issue, as two five year olds are going.

For me personally there's no contest, Islands of Adventure is far better. But I'm a rollercoaster freak and as you said that's not an issue, so with kids it's a lot closer. The rides at Universal Orlando are similar to the ones at Universal Hollywood, and I think Islands of Adventure is overall more interesting than Universal, as it has a lot more "character" you could say. However Islands of Adventure wasn't built in my younger years so from a kid's perspective, I don't really have any idea which one would be better. Sorry, I guess I'm not much help. Flip a coin? =P

if you think you will, in the future, be making another trip to Orlando... then get a 2-day 2-park pass. that way you can go back & forth between the two parks at your own leisure. the great part is that the 2nd day pass can be used at any time in the future.
