Anyone on Body For Life? Also need advice on

Finding cheap/used weight set and a stationary bike.

I am about halfway through the BFL book, and I think it might be a good deal. It'd be better than the way I currently live my life. I am really excited to start working out and getting my life and body back in order. Hate the gym though... the one at work is small and always busy. Has anyone tried this program? I know the book talks about all the success people have had with it, but so did Atkins, and that didn't work for me or anyone else I've talked to for more than six months.

Also,
Does anyone know where I can find a standard set of weights/bench on the cheap? I don't think I need anything too complicated(No Nautilus type stuff). I also need a stationary bike. Don't need anything too fancy, just need variable speeds. I don't care if it can tell me how hot my latte is or what the weather's like in Auckland. Suggestions?

My wife and I sort of started this. We didn't get very far into it, but just following the diet, and a little exercise it recommends, you'll loose. My sister in law is on it, and has been. She isn't loosing any more, but still follows. It's one of the easier things to do, and the diet is better than Atkins. We're supposed to start it again, today, but that didn't happen. If you just stick with it, you'll be fine.

As for weights, if you just get some dumbells, or something, that would be fine to start. The more importing thing is the cardio.

If you have them in your area "Play it Again Sports" is a good place to find cheap used exercise equipment. You might be able to find a store locater on the net. I havn't tried Body for Life but I hear good things. Congrats and good luck on getting in shape!

Thank you

Thank you very much for your replies. Unfortunately, I got a letter from the Oregon Unemployment Department today asking for all of the (my) money back.... So, a VERY CHEAP stationary bike might be necessary. There's a couple Play it Again Sports in my area, (Thank you StephenSa) so I'll be heading out to the nearest one tomorrow to check it out.
Again, thanks for the encouragement and the bit of feedback!
