So, I found out I have a few little spots on my credit from many years ago. All debts have been paid and satisfied according to the terms. I recently (4 months ago) sent a letter to each of the 3 credit bureaus requesting the removal or at least an update to show that the dues have been paid. NO GO!
I received a letter in response from only one of the credit bureaus and heard nothing from the other two. Huh.....WTF?
Equifax was the only company to correct my records. The other two have been nothin' short of a frickin head ache to deal with.
I hired a company, that goes after bureaus on issues like this. Since I just did this, I was thinking that maybe I should of checked out companies like this first.
Has anyone used a service like this before? If so, where you satisfied? or did they steal your money? Let me know

The company I hired was recommended to me, by a somewhat reliable source. The fees are not too bad and hopefully they will achieve my goal. I will continue to update as things progress for anyone else who may need these services.

My personal opinion?

They are a rip-off...

The credit repair agencies will basically save you the headache - so if the fees are worth it to you, then I suppose it isn't really such a bad deal. However, very seldom do these companies wield any more power than your average consumer. They basically have the forms that you can download online, will fill them out for you, and then send them in. If they blew you off, the certainly could blow off the company as well. Make sure that before they are paid they actually get the items removed from the bureaus. If you have already paid them, instead of harassing the credit reporting agencies to remove the items, you may end up harassing the credit repair service to harass the credit reporting agencies...
