Supplements A Go Go

Ive started a new training program and I am just lost on what supplements to get. I can read 20 articles and it seems that they all have a shit load of supplements and they all say different things on when you should take them.

Any advise on maybe the 3 or 4 most important supplements needed for building muscle, definition, fat loss? What does everyone use around here? And any suggestions on stores to get it from, good prices and good service? I went to GNC and the salesman was just all about getting me to get their store card more than answering my questions.

Thanks in advance.

Whether or not you need supplements depends on your diet. If it's good, you don't need any. So, how's your diet?

The best ones that most people use are whey protien,L-glutamine, and creatine. If you are trying to lose weight, you may try hydroxycut. It is supposed to be good.

No diet is beyond supplementation. Maybe in a few decades of genetic engineering yeah, but not now.

Whey protein, creatine and multi-vitamins are about the only MUST HAVES for training.

You'll definitely want to use whey protein, it's the easiest way to get enough protein to build muscle. Have a shake when you wake up, one right after a workout and one more before bed. Look for something that gives you around 40g of protein per serving with a minimal amount of fat and carbs. Multivitamins are great too, nothing wrong with multivitamins.
80% of your fat loss and muscle gain will come from your diet. If you're not eating well, all the pills in the world won't do anything for you.

Has creatine been proven to be completely safe?

From what I have researched, Creatine is naturally found in meat to begin with. I have not seen any nasty side effects at all. Many of the top fitness magazines and websites seem to think well of Creatine. Anyone know of any problems?

I've taken creatine for a couple of years and have had no problems. The way supplements have been scrutinized lately I'd think if there were any problems we'd have heard about them by now.
