Belly-Button rings
Hope this is the right section for this....
I got my belly button pierced 5 years ago when I was in 10th grade. It was awesome then. I was crazy-skinny and loved little shirts that showed it off. Now, Im 21, I am less of an attention-whore, I am not crazy-skinny anymore (im between thin and healthy now), and I was thinking of taking out the bellybutton ring. The tiny hole that will be left behind doesnt bother me at all. I think I want a less flashy more natural look when Im at the beach, especially since it doesnt look great on me anymore. I also got mine done a VERY long time ago before people were even really into it. I still have it, but being that I am 30, I have considered taking it out. The thing is, I don't even really know its there and I am the same weight I have always been. I decided I would more then likely leave it in until I get pregnant with my first child. It would definately be uncool to have it then

I also got mine pierced when I was 16 and am now 21. I have thought about taking it out. Sometimes I take it out and when I look in the mirror it looks like my belly is missing something so I put it back in. Most of the time I forget I have it pierced. I'll give it a few more years, but it will definitely be out by the time I have kids.

I got mine done right after my sixteenth birthday, and now i'm 20. I consider my belly ring as a nice addition to my navel, and I don't even notice it anymore unless I see it. I would reccommend taking it out. You can always repierce it if you miss it.

i got mine pierced for my 19th birthday and i'm 21 and still have it. i personally love mine, even though i dont really show it off much. back then i had a belly i could theoretically show off, but now its not so flat and stuff. anyway, i just like having it because i think it's a nice decoration, but if you're wanting to go with more of a natural look, by all means take it out cuz like others have said, it's always re-doable if you wanna.

I pierced my own bellybutton when I was 15... DIY with a sewing needle and a regular 18 g ear-earring. NOT A SMART COOKIE I WAS.
Ultimately it's up to you, you probably look just as good now as you did when you were 16, bellyring or not. |
