I wrote this for my journal, but someone pointed this particular forum out to me, and I thought it might be a better way to get feedback. So here it is:

It all comes down to what goes coursing through your system as you see your opponent. Sizing him up, as you know he is doing to you. The blade in your hands an extension of yourself, your flesh turned steel. Heart pounding in your ears, you strike again and again, looking for an opening. The opening that will end it. The one perfect moment, when the blade sings true and you know, you just KNOW, that you have won. The feel of cold steel in your hands....
The feel of cold steel.....
The feel of cold steel, the guns blazing in your hands. You duck, roll, twist, preventing your foe from gaining a bead. The roar of the gun, the flame from the muzzle, the primordial instinct of kill or be killed. Bullets score the wall above your head, missing by mere inches. Time slows to a crawl and speeds up at the same time, endless moments passing too quickly. And the one perfect moment when you find your target, when you know, before you even see it, that the bullet has found its mark.

Your guns roar in truimph, you blade sings a song of victory. This I have felt, these things I know. Conflict is my home, battle is my bed. I shall not fall.

I started reading this, and i was getting a rush. I read it so fast, I had to read it again. Good stuff, I am glad you posted it here, thanks

wow, that last 2 line paragraph is amazing. one of the best endings to something that i have ever read!
